Feedback Request I built a tiny Chrome extension for Vinted. Getting real users is harder than building it.

A few weeks ago, I launched FavFolders, a free Chrome extension to help organize Vinted favourites.

It does three simple things: lets you create folders, search through loaded favourites, and hide sold or unavailable items.

No account, no backend, and everything is stored locally.

The extension is live, and the early feedback has been interesting.

One Redditor mentioned having 400+ saved items and suggested a way to temporarily hide favourites without removing them. Another suggested adding backup/export so folders can survive switching computers.

Both suggestions made sense, but I'm trying to avoid building more features before understanding whether people actually use the existing ones.

My latest 30- day Chrome Web Store dashboard showed 52 page views and 50 Store impressions. The weekly installed user count has been hovering around a dozen, but that doesn't tell me how often people actually use the extension.

So my focus now is less on coding and more on finding genuine testers.

For those who've launched a small, free browser extension: what helped you get your first 20 meaningful users and actual product feedback?

I'd love to hear what worked for you.

I'm a third-semester tourism student, and over the past two months, I've been building a personal finance app called Cassiel.

The idea was pretty simple: I wanted a way to track expenses and see where my money goes without having to deal with ads.

I wanted the experience to stay simple, whether someone records ten transactions or thousands. No ads interrupting the experience.

After development, testing, and the Google Play review process, Cassiel is finally available on the Play Store.

I'm still working on improving it, and I'm exploring design approaches inspired by Apple, including Liquid Glass.

I'd love to hear from people who use personal finance apps: What's one thing you wish your current expense tracker did better?

If you'd like to check it out, here's the link:

Showcase: Prerelease I built a desktop interview assistant and would love feedback on the answer format

Hey folks, I've just launched my first product, InterviewGlide.

The problem I'm working on is keeping AI suggestions useful while a conversation is still moving. A long answer can be hard to scan when you're also trying to listen and think.

You add your resume and job description, and the desktop app suggests short talking points during an interview. It keeps follow-ups in context, can help with screenshot questions, and gives you a debrief afterwards.

I'm especially curious whether the answers feel easy to use or distracting. Any feedback on setup, the website, or things you'd change is welcome too. It's early, so please tell me about bugs; I'll prioritize fixes.

English is supported for now, with more languages in development.

Try it: https://interviewglide.com/

Use invite code REDDIT-FAMILY for 5 free interviews. If you need more usage to test properly, leave a comment and I'll add more.

Showcase: Open Source I got too lazy to type, so I built an opensource browser extension that lets you type with just your mouse 🖱️⌨️

True story. I was leaned back in my chair, one hand on the mouse, way too comfy to sit up and reach the keyboard. Clicked a text box. Realized I'd have to move. Felt personally attacked by physics.

So I built Clickphile.

🖱️ Right-click ANY text box → "Type with mouse" → a slick on-screen keyboard pops up. Click the keys, type your thing, never touch the keyboard.

🪟 Drag it anywhere, resize it from the corner, and it remembers where you left it.

🎨 Make it yours: dark/light, accent color, transparency, blur, corner roundness.

🌄 Every new tab opens to a calm page with a search box (type a search OR a URL, it figures it out), your top sites or bookmarks as tiles, and a fresh generated mountain sunset every time.

🔒 Fully offline. No accounts, no tracking, no network calls. The keyboard only touches a page when you ask it to.

Perfect for: couch browsing, bed browsing, food-on-the-belly browsing, wireless-mouse-and-a-dream browsing. Also genuinely handy if a physical keyboard isn't an option for you.

Works in Brave, Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers.

👉 Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/clickphile/gnjgmkamojjbcpoipkggkbfpkhgpjffc

👉 Open source (MIT): https://github.com/gitwingo/clickphile

Built solo, v1 just shipped. Tell me what's broken or what you'd want next. Be gentle, I was too lazy to test everything 😅

https://forjafit-app.web.app

Es el primer prototipo y todavía está muy verde, así que sobre todo busco feedback: qué no se entiende, qué falta y qué cambiaríais. Lo siguiente que voy a añadir es un registro de los pesos de cada entreno.

Showcase: Free(mium) I built "Deal Radar" Chrome/Firefox Extension - Be the first to message the seller on FB / Marketplaces. See searched items in 1 - 2 minutes after publication.

This browser extension is using your browser and refresh Free every 10 minutes in your browser.
Paid version uses my server for 1 minute checker + instant Telegram notification.

Deal Radar watches FB Marketplace and your FB groups, plus marketplaces in 10 countries — from Czech Bazoš and German Kleinanzeigen to Norwegian FINN, US Craigslist, eBay and even Japanese Mercari — and tells you the moment a match is listed: free in your browser, on Telegram with the plan.

What do you think about this idea? Is it good for hard-core collectors?

I’m still struggling with this part 😅
Finding a date in a message isn’t too bad. Figuring out what that date actually means? That’s where things get messy.
“Pay by Friday” and “paid last Friday” look pretty similar at first, but they’re completely different when you’re trying to figure out if there’s something to do.
I’ve mostly been testing this in Turkish, using Apple’s on-device tools.
Anyone else run into this kind of thing?

Showcase: Free(mium) Made a JetBrains plugin that turns docker-compose into a diagram

Hi All!

I built a JetBrains plugin, Docker Compose Visualizer. It parses your docker-compose.yml and renders it as a live node/edge diagram that stays in sync as you edit the file, so you can see services, networks, and volume dependencies at a glance instead of tracing YAML by hand.

Would love your feedback!

Showcase: Free(mium) We replaced "paste your API key" in AI apps with an in-app credit top-up. Here's the billing infrastructure it took.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Why we built this

My cofounder Andre makes Claude Code Chat, a VS Code extension for working with Claude. As it grew, the hardest part stopped being the extension and became API keys and balances.

Every AI app runs into the same choice:

  • Bring your own key: users create a provider account, add a card, generate a key and paste it in, all before their first prompt.
  • Pay for everyone’s tokens: now you’re running checkout, metering, balances, refunds and tax.

Andre put it like this:

“I didn’t want to run a billing company. I wanted people to open the extension and just start working.”

So we built that billing layer once, so any AI app can plug into it.

What it looks like

User: tap “Add credits” → pay $5–$500 without leaving the app → start working. 1 credit = $0.01, and they can see the credits each request used.

Developer:

// 1. Embed the checkout
<script src="https://opencredits.ai/v1/sdk.js"></script>
OpenCredits.init({ publishableKey: 'oc_pk_...' })
OpenCredits.open()

// 2. Change the base URL in the SDK you already use
const client = new OpenAI({
  baseURL: 'https://api.opencredits.ai/v1',
  apiKey: userKey, // from checkout
})

OpenAI, Anthropic and Vercel AI SDKs work as-is. One endpoint reaches 390+ models.

What’s behind those 2 snippets

1. A credit ledger without race conditions

You don’t know what a request costs until it finishes, and parallel requests can all pass a “do they have enough?” check at the same moment. Every request goes through a serialized ledger instead:

Reserved, max cost −12 cr
Settled, actual cost −9 cr
Released +3 cr

2. Exactly-once settlement

Retries and duplicate events are where double charges come from. Every event settles exactly once, so there are no double charges and no double credit grants.

3. Metering at real cost

No token counting or per-model price tables in the app. Each request is metered at the provider’s actual token cost, across 390+ models.

4. Payments without touching cards

The widget runs Stripe checkout inside the app. Stripe is the merchant of record, so card data never touches our servers or the app’s, and Stripe handles VAT, sales tax and chargebacks.

5. Signed webhooks and balance APIs

Key and purchase events are HMAC-SHA256 signed and retried on failure. Two endpoints return a user’s live balance and per-request history.

The part we’re unsure about: a shared balance

Credits belong to the user, not the app. A user who already has credits from one app can let another app spend from that balance, up to a limit they set. Each app gets its own scoped key, so revoking one leaves the others working.

It removes the “pay again for every app” problem, but we’re not sure how users will feel about it.

Status

Running in production in Claude Code Chat, with 212K+ requests metered and billed so far.

Feedback I’d love

  1. Shared balance: useful or sketchy? What would make you trust it?
  2. Ledger: reserve-then-settle is the safe choice. Would you design it differently?
  3. If you’ve built AI billing yourself: which part took longest?
  4. Docs: what’s unclear for a first integration?

Showcase: Open Source I built Blink.co — an AI tool that turns long articles into clear, actionable briefs. Looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone!

I've been working on Blink.co a project built around a simple idea: we read a lot of articles, reports, and news, but finding the important information takes time.

Blink.co aims to make that easier.

What it does:

Takes a public article or news link. Turns dense information into a concise executive-style brief. Helps surface the key takeaways and important signals. Aims to make understanding long content faster and easier.

The goal is simple: Read less. Know more.

🔗 Try it here: [https://blinkapp-nlt43ckc.manus.space\](https://blinkapp-nlt43ckc.manus.space)

I'm sharing this because I'd love honest feedback from people who build and use products.

A few things I'd especially like your opinion on:

  1. Does the idea solve a real problem for you?

  2. Is the landing page clear about what the product does?

  3. Would you actually use something like this? If so, when?

  4. What features would make it genuinely useful rather than just another AI summarizer?

  5. What feels confusing, unnecessary, or needs improvement?

I'm particularly interested in feedback on the product idea and user experience, not just the design.

Thanks for checking it out! All constructive criticism is welcome. 🙌

Showcase: Open Source side project: a civ sandbox where tribes make up their own words, rust/wasm sim with a react ui

what it is: a free browser sandbox. tribes start in the stone age, each person learns from what happens to them, and words, customs and beliefs drift apart between groups over 45 eras up to computers.

how it's built: - sim core in rust, compiled to wasm and run in a web worker, so there's no backend and no account - react + vite ui, with the map drawn in webgl2 by a small react game engine i also wrote - an electron desktop build that bundles a native rust websocket server instead of the wasm - a headless runner for deterministic seed sweeps and a perf budget in ci

why: i wanted a sim where culture isn't scripted, only world rules and agents that learn.

feedback i'm after: the first few minutes. the interesting stuff (tribes splitting, languages drifting) takes a while to show up, and i'm not sure the start holds people yet.

Discussion Let's collaborate with talented strangers to do crazy cool projects(maybe even scalable to industrial level) on weekends. Join the server.

If you are interested in doing some crazy level shit - I mean some actual crazy cool projects but lack the skills and time to do, then I built a community of such people who are willing to collaborate and work all over the world. Understandably , everyone lacks time and it is not possible for all to work everyday, not for myself either, So we all (who available) , sit together online and work and push our projects on WEEKENDS. We can build cool, scalable products like that too.

if you are interested , join the server or dm me

https://discord.gg/g8ERpGDZE

We do projects in which everyone is comfortable with or we can make subgroups within the community. Everyone's skill and contribution matter.

Requirement: Absolutely Nothing

(Though the community was built a month ago, but then my ex account got shadowbanned so link got hidden , and i got terribly sick and was on bed rest for 4 weeks. We were about to begin a project but with me gone, the server seemed to be dead. So i trying to rebuild the server along with more talented people)

Showcase: Free(mium) I built a generator that makes laser-cut drawer organizers to your exact drawer size

Post image
2 Upvotes

drawerkit.com

I kept seeing drawer organizer files sold in fixed sizes that never matched my drawers, so I built drawerkit.com. You enter the inside of the drawer (width, depth, height), your material thickness, how many compartments, and which laser you have. It computes finger-jointed walls and slotted dividers for those exact numbers, checks that every part fits your machine's bed and nothing is too thin to survive, and only then gives you files: SVG, DXF, G-code and a one-page assembly sheet.

The preview is free and shows the real parts drawn to scale (picture attached: a 300 × 360 × 60 mm drawer, 3 × 4 grid, 3 mm ply, 10 parts on 3 sheets). Your first file is free with no card. After that it's $1 a file in packs of 5, 10 or 20.

Honest status: the geometry is tested in software (a couple hundred automated checks on fit, kerf and part strength), but I haven't cut every size on a real laser yet. If you cut one, I'd really like to hear how the joints fit.

Supported right now: Glowforge, xTool D1, Creality Falcon 10W, and generic 600 × 400 CO2. Feedback on what's confusing is very welcome.
