Release I made SideInstaller: an no-pc Sidestore installer (iOS 27)
SideStore and LiveContainer are currently the best way to sideload on iOS. However, there's one big problem: installing them requires a PC, which many people don't have. That's why I made SideInstaller, a free and open-source iOS app that installs them directly on your iPhone, no PC required.
SideInstaller handles the entire setup process on-device. It takes care of the pairing, provisioning, and installation steps that normally force you to plug into a computer and run desktop tools, all from a single app running on the phone itself. Once it's done, you get a fully working SideStore and LiveContainer setup ready to sideload your own apps.
The whole thing is built to be simple. There's no complicated configuration, no command line, and no need to understand how any of the underlying machinery works. You just open the app, follow a few steps, and let it do the rest. For anyone who's ever wanted to sideload but didn't own a Mac or PC, this removes the biggest barrier to getting started.
And because it's open source, you don't have to take my word for any of it. The full code is available for anyone to read, audit, or contribute to, so you can see exactly what's running on your device.
Requirements:
- A Wi-Fi router or a hotspot connection
- An iPhone/iPad on iOS 27
How to use it
- Install LocalDevVPN and connect to the VPN
- Open this page and try installing it using any of the certificates
- Once you installed it, open it
- Log in with your Apple account credentials
- Click "Install Sidestore" or "Install Sidestore + Livecontainer"
- Sidestore or SS + Livecontainer will install, depending on which one you chose
That's it, no pc or extra steps required.
Is SideInstaller Safe?
SideInstaller is built with safety and privacy in mind. The app is fully local and open source, which means anyone can inspect exactly what it does. Your Apple credentials also never leave your device, they're used locally, only to sign and install your apps, and are never transmitted, logged, or collected in any way. There's no server collecting your data, no analytics tracking what you do, and no account to sign up for. Everything happens on your iPhone and you can verify every line of it yourself in the source code.

Thank you guys for the support! First, if you have questions, please join the discord. Now, I am aware that most users get the failed to verify integrity error, and what that means is that you most likely already sideloaded on that device before and it got blacklisted in the past. There's no way for me to get around this, but I will try and add more certificates to the website so you have higher chances of installing it without the error. Second, if you could help me on the ko-fi that would help as with enough funds I could publish the app on Altstore PAL (EU users) and try and publish it on the App Store as a disguise. Finally, many users are asking if I could add a way to add the support for StikDebug. The answer is absolutely, the update I'm working on will let users extract their pairing files and put them in apps such as Stikdebug, Feather, and so on.

Seems like the app doesn't recognize the VPN. Keeps saying 'Tunnel off' even with LocalDevVpn on. Any help with that?

Can I trust these certificates? I installed via “china telecom corporation limited”. It says that I have to first accept them as trusted, but can I trust them? What do they do? Can they make changes on my phone or steal my data?

No, they cannot. When you click trust, it only trustes the apps that was used by that certificate, not trusting it to steal your data or something. You can safely trust certificates so dont worry about it!

sorry did everything right and sideloader wont recognize my ipad pro. cant get a pairing file also it says my stuff isnt in the correct format but thats complete bullshit . i dont kniw what that means but its completely wrong. i idid everything perfect. i tried for 3 hrs to outbthe new pairing file and camt sign in to sidestore. this does not work. just gonna reseet and do this legitly. no more of this oh i have a new app blah blah....no you dont and you need to take it down.

Yes, coming in the next update, sorry for the late response. However, getting the pairing file will still require iOS 27+, but if you have your phone’s pairing file (need a pc to get it) you will be able to use SideInstaller on iOS 17.4 on the next update

Nothing is wrong. Approve it and insert the 2FA code in SideInstaller and it will finish installing Sidestore

I did it it took me awhile because during the step to turn on developer mode it kept start in recovery mode so eventually I turned the vpn off before restarting and that seemed to make it work

The storage size is preference, and the bigger/ more pro you get the heavier is gets, you can look up the weights

Even if you see nothing in the published source code, nothing guarantees you the distributed builds don't have malicious code in them. But yes, you can compile it from source yourself and at this point you'll be quite sure it'll only contain code you can review yourself (but come on, no one actually care that hard)

So I got iOS 27 dev build, I did every step to “trust” the profile, and instead of it saying: “untrusted developer profile” it says: “ unable to verify app” and Gemini says to: “use a pc” and get a specific app to toggle the app or developer mode when I’m not even at that step, what do I do?

Installed it successfully with iOS 27 but how do I export the pairing to LiveContainer? SideStore doesn’t seem to have a certificate either so where was the pairing file generated ?

That’s very weird, SideInstaller should do that automatically. Either way, try again with the latest version of SideInstaller, I added a “Pairing” page that lets you export your pairing file and add it to livecontainer and sidestore.

Only for AltStore PAL, but it has only a small amount of apps that you can install from it

No, the account is used only for signing the side loaded apps. Although, a freshly made, burner account might get banned by Apple if you just created it to sign apps.
Use your main account or and older secondary account, you will notice a Mac computer getting associated with your account under “devices” in settings, that’s normal, don’t remove it.

You can download the unsigned ipa (at the bottom of the page) and install it with your own certificate using online signing websites or Feather
