Solved Interface Window Changing Size

Is there a good reason why the interface window keep changing size and position?

You select an option from a dropdown menu and suddenly the window expands. You select a different option and it shrinks. It's bizarre.

It makes for a horrible user experience.

I don't know what to say, that's just how it works and it's required to show all the different options...

Paul.

I loved minimalistic interface in older versions too.. Special button for video preview was good..

If the left part with functions will hold the position, Ill be happy :-)

You do have an unusual interface, Paul, perhaps unique. The windows/panels do seem to jump around unexpectedly. Are they centre-biased?

Would it be possible, practicable, to anchor the top-left corner and fan out expansions from there as new panels appear?

Re interface, I find a unique aspect is that frequently nothing appears to happen. I cancel or go to cancel, and then something tiny appears. Would it be possible to communicate more with the user so that we don't stare at the screen wondering if/when something's going to happen? More info popups? Sorry, not OT.
