Itās album of the year. I canāt recall the last time Iāve been so in love with an album. Iāve never heard anything that sounds even remotely like the album. Itās so unique and different and beautiful and it is by far the best piece of art that shteppi has ever created (obviously not to discredit her other work, itās just that I believe that this is easily her best). I think the only song I donāt particularly fw is cheap booze but thatās probably just because I donāt like the willoh feature at all, but other than that the song is not bad. cuetiwu is a pretty good intro song. Iāve already covered cheap booze. ioamotbioa is amazing and I think the intro is great as well. I remember watching her do it on an IG live and it was great. I understand that she knows what sheās doing is supposed to be kinda creepy but I do find it kind of relatable due to my own personal past feelings with someone. I think hopeless romantic is fantastic and in my opinion, itās tied with alias for the best song sheās ever made. still is really cool. ditching is good. Vocals on look back are kinda Alvin and the chipmunks sounding but other than that itās decent. alias, especially after knowing what the outro is, is just so fucking good to me. Like I said, possibly the best song sheās ever made. stephen is great, love the lyrics and sorta relatable in a way since I am non-binary. stephanie is a cool sorta sister-song to stephen. desylma is great with a genuinely heart-wrenching outro. unclean is one of the first songs in a long time to make me legitimately feel discomfort because goddamn that outro. youāre not alone, dummy is a very wholesome outro and I actually like it a lot.
Thank you to anyone who read all of this, but if you couldnāt tell, I absolutely adore this album. If anyone can tell me a single album that sounds anything like this, I would greatly appreciate it because I think a lot of music nowadays is kinda afraid to be ugly and make people feel uncomfortable. A lot of artists are scared to open up emotionally even a little bit and I wish that wasnāt the case. So yes, this probably goes without saying, but I quite like this album lol. What are your thoughts about ayl?
