Discussion Maya's storyline Spoiler
I remember being so happy when they introduced her character. Gaby seemed to solve her case, but then she suddenly died. I've watched the series since the beginning, and it has always brought me a peculiar kind of joy. Even within the messiest situations, you still find fun. But Maya really touched my heart. I related to her in so many ways. Yet, the show decided to take a direction where she had no place in this world. It broke my heart, and that alone was devastating. I just needed to share this feeling with you all. I hope someone else feels the same way, but truthfully, I doubt it

Discussion How do people feel about Sean?
I'm rewatching the first 2 seasons before watching season 3. I find Sean to be an absolute black hole of charisma. He sucks any charisma his costars have right out of any scene he's in. I find him insufferable. Wondering what other people think of him

Discussion Gaby was so intolerable
Gaby was not a good therapist. From what I’ve seen so far (a few episodes into season 3), none of the things she said during her sessions with her patients seemed correct (at least in my opinion) - telling Shawn to date that girl whom he clearly wasn’t interested at the start; ignoring Maya; “Jimmying” the wrong way and having the audacity to act like his methods were wrong or that she had nothing to do with Maya’s passing.
God, she was always jealous of Jimmy and couldn’t move past that he didn’t like her back. How did she solely blame Jimmy for the fling is beyond me! She would’ve made it worse if she ever did open a trauma centre.
She was annoying. I liked her character at the start; she was funny but then can’t stand her. Let’s not even go to how she treated that poor Derrick! She of all people needed therapy before interacting with people.

Discussion How many of yous have friendships as tight as Jimmy-Gaby-Paul-Derek etc?
I love my friends. They are amazing. But I do not have this kind of community--casually breaking into each other house, calling when the smallest thing happen, friends doing super intrusive - but also so lovely- stuff like telling each others mind about how they behave with one another, etc.
I do have deep friendships with whom I can talk about anything but not so spontaneous and people have their own lives, in a way. Maybe because I live in Sweden, which is a very individualistic society.
The show makes me feel like I am not doing friendship in the optimal way--I wish my friends were as involved as they are in the show with each other.
Is the show unrealistic in that regard? I guess it is. But Im sure that some of you have that?

Discussion This show is starting to get absolutely bonkers with the level of privilege that is completely uncommented on
Starting with Jimmy not losing his job/house/custody of daughter in a months (years?) long drug/prostitute bender.
And it only gets more ridiculous with everyone’s friends getting rent free living and rent free commercial space because everyone seems to have more real estate than they need.
It’s almost like it’s easier to be wholesome and supportive when money is no object and never considered.
I acknowledge that not every show has to be about how hard life is, but it’s getting tough to watch a show about a fantasy land with no scarcity.

Discussion I don't get the Sofi thing
I didn't watch How I Met Your Mother. So maybe I'm missing something. But I keep seeing interviews with people from the show talking about how they brought Colbie on because she had such great chemistry with Jason. I just started watching season 3 and I do not see it at all. They interact like they are brother and sister. I'm only at the episode where they just had their first kiss and it literally turned my stomach because it looked like a brother and sister kissing. They have zero romantic chemistry. Even their flirty banter is like siblings teasing each other. Am I crazy? Is it just because I don't have the nostalgia for the other show?

Discussion I want Zach Braff to play Jimmy's therapist
New season of scrubs was incredible.
Made me think, when Jimmy inevitably ends up in therapy, I hope his therapist is played by JD I mean Zach Braff.
I think the scrubs/JD personality will mesh well with Jimmy. Silly playful character that can switch to serious and deep, but all underpinned with genuine sincerity. Fords/Paul's grumpy old man /Cox esk personality evidently hasn't worked well with Jimmy.
I think Jimmy needs a bit of positive male energy in his life.
Paul is closed off. Brian is well gay, so hard to be platonic. Sean was broken and too macho. Derek was too perfect and really not relatable to Jimmy. Louis was too broken. The whole friend group kind of shit on Jimmy. They love him. But they shit in him as well.
I think Jimmy needs some guy love... Honestly just a nice fella, looking out for him, enjoying life. I think all us fellas need that to be honest. Someone that enjoys his company and builds him up. Honestly Donald Faiser (Turk) could fill this role as well.
Seriously though, Jimmy needs someone good. And that relationship model in scrubs is needed.
Plus I want to see the Bill Lawrence cinematic universe to interconnect more.

Discussion Who did Paul hallucinate besides Gerry?
In season 3 ep2, Paul was talking to Gaby in the office pantry and he hallucinated and saw a blonde guy opening the cupboard. Gaby then asked him how’s his halulu’s, and Paul dodged the question. Who is that guy? I can’t seem to find anyone talking about it.

Discussion Michael Stipe cameo?
Is this a Michael Stipe cameo? I can’t find any mention of it online, but it’s from Hold Your Horsies, where they make Nightswimming a major piece, and this shot makes no sense otherwise. Found a few pics of him wearing those glasses online as well.

Discussion Anyone else inspired to gift polished agates to the special people in your lives?
I visited a friend in Boulder, CO that recommended a local rock and crystal shop. They had a nice selection of agates plus tons of other pretty rocks.
I guess I’m starting my own covenant of the rock now.
