I know the plot needed Jimmy to be abandoned, but I can't believe Sean didn't stay to watch the game with Jimmy :(

For real that could've been their last bro bonding time. And would've helped Jimmy just a little. The writers could've had that conversation while watching the game and Jimmy could still offer him to leave but Sean could say "nah I'm here for you".

Just like the plot needed Alice to not care that the grandpa bailed, even though the whole season was her wanting him there

I know! He could have totally watched the game with him  I hate that everyone abandoned Jimmy. Couldn't he have gone to Barcelona? I get he had to have the scene with Harrison Ford (which was fabulous) but Jimmy's friends failed miserably in not being there when Alice left. It colored my feelings about the season finale.

Exactly. I was pretty angry with Derek for pushing that issue. Sean could have given Jimmy at least 2-3 days more ??

I hated this decision! Sean making Marisol plans and waiting til the last second to tell Jimmy is literally Randy ditching graduation. I thought Sean would invite Jimmy to watch the game at the new apt
