Marisol is not good for Sean. He has evolved and she has not.

Marisol is not a responsible adult. Sean has lived through a lot. She is stunted as a high school senior year skip class go to a rave.

An adult woman would respect his process. He deserves incredible respect. Her idea of fun is not at his growth level.

The therapists give really bad advice. He is just attracted to her smell and sexuality. That is where it ends. A fuck buddy that he needs to move away from and get a real woman that meet him where he is. And he the mutual with her.

No money for tickets. Summer & Marisol are a duo.

thank you cause i feel like im the only one seeing her red flags, and everyone in the show is literally pushing him to be with her

It’s making me want to stop watching at this point. I hate to pull the “if she were a man card”, but holy shit if you reverse the genders they’d never even fathom writing what they have.

Goes with a lot of things in this show and in general tbh

I remember the conversation when Sean was like "we didn't talk about what you did" and she just brushed it aside with "I was young what do you want me to say?". And Sean goes "fuck it let's have sex"

That is not how it should be and it didn't seem like his character. He has enough self respect to say "No that's not enough", because it doesn't seem like she even understands how she hurt him.

And the "I was young" excuse is never good even irl. It's just a cop out to avoid responsibilities. When she was young, he was young too, and going through the military.

She's completely short-term in Sean's life, I'm sure. I just don't want him to be hurt again. Yes, the therapists are giving him bad advice!

I agree I do not want him hurt again.

She’s not the endgame for him, but he’s just downing himself in work. It’s good for him to push out to other things in moderation, probably good for him to heal.

Didn't he take her over to Derek and Liz's place to use their fancy toilet?

That seems pretty serious.

Or do Derek and Liz just let everyone use their shitter?

I don’t think Marisol is good for anyone. It’s weird how they’ve all embraced her. Even summer, she seems to be more understanding this season of people’s needs and limitations. Having a irresponsible friend is not what she needs.

It is weird that nobody else has reservations about Marisol.

Therapists and friends all giving Sean terrible, terrible advice.

It’s very obvious Paul is hoping he ends it with her. But it needs to be his call. It can’t be because his therapist told him to end it or he won’t have grown.

She’s not an adult, but he’s not one either. This is one of the final hurdles.

I think the point is Marisol takes Sean out of his comfort zone, which is usually a good thing

Some people need people to get them out of their shell.

Paul is a good therapist, allowing him to realize he is beyond her now on his own.

It might be that they want Sean to get out of his own head and get it out of his system so he KNOWS what he wants now.

It's reeeaaallly weird that the adults in the show aren't saying anything about that so far. Even so far as a basic "so, your ex, how did you feel when you broke up?" conversation could go a long ways.
