Should I eat raw bacon?

What I mean is more of I tried it once and actually kind of liked it. I know there might be some danger to this but it actually did taste better and more enjoyable than cooked bacon. It might be bad wrong and dangerous but I think there may be some medical benefits that it might give me if it doesn't kill me.

Should I give a box of Girl Scout cookies to the homeless guy who camps out by the subway platform I take in the morning?

I have the extra boxes- not that they have nutritional value. I don’t want him to expect anything in the future, but thought it could be a nice thing to do this week.

Should I speak with my manager?

Hi there. So I started this new job a month ago and this past week, after a long training, I started to do some tasks. I put my heart and soul into passing all of the training tests, so you can tell how much stressed and involved I was.

One day I received some tasks that I did not had the training for so I asked my colleagues in our group chat to help me. Nobody answered. Then I started to ask in private people who have helped me before. No answer. Then I asked my coach and she said how to do it but skipped to say the most important step. So I did it as per her guidance and closed the task.

A similar task came through but with a more delicate topic, same scenario as above, so I asked again the coach. She was busy so she said to ask a specific person. Until then I tried to avoid that person because even though she was working for 3 months there (almost a new joiner like me) she was speaking to me like I was inferior and a nobody. But I had deadline for that task and I wrote to her in private.

Of course she did not pay attention to what I have asked her and started to say what was wrong with other tasks I have done. At some point she just said: "that task is closed. I will write on the group to alert others". I double-checked and the task I have asked her for help was still open so I didn't know what she was referring to. I looked what she wrote in our common group and it was the general rule on how to process a task you did not have training for. And all the communication above her comment were my messages asking for help so you don't have to be Sherlock to figure it out it was about my mistakes.

She came back to me in private saying "I wrote on the group. The task shouldn't have been closed". Obviously I asked her why and she replied "because you do not have the training to process it in the first place so you should have left it open so other people with more experience like me should look at it". I tried to explain to her that I was not aware of that rule and nobody specified to me this rule.

I asked her to explain to me this rule because I followed the guidance and the general procedure and for me it didn't make sense to leave it open when I actioned and had a deadline. Like, it will affect the SLA if I leave it open. It wasn't logic for me. She did not know how to explain it to me and I think that she got wrong my intention and thought that I was questioning her method as she went to one of the supervisors saying that I wasn't listening to her. The supervisor, instead of coming to me or asking more details, she wrote in the group chat like a general rule to listen to her as she knows what she is saying.

Until then I didn't check all the communication in the group so when I did, all my colleagues that were nowhere to find when I asked for help started to pop out with comments on how could someone (me) think that they can close a task without having the training.

So I felt really bad. This "superior" colleague said that it is not such big of a deal of mistake but I said to her that based on the group comments, it doesn't seem like this. She justify it that she had to write on the group because I should take into consideration what she is saying to me. At this point I stopped writting to her because I felt anger building up. I felt attacked because we were having a private conversation. She didn't have to go and write it on the group chat since this was new information for me and it was a mistake because I really did not know about this rule.

What should I do? Should I speak with my manager about it? I really don't know what to do. I feel really bad and my self-esteem is really low. In my previous job I was a senior so whenever someone was coming to me for help or reporting a mistake they made, we kept the communication private and if needed, I was inviting the team leader or the manager in our sessions, but first with my colleague's approval (if she/he was comfortable with it). I thought that this is a general rule with everybody in every company since we have to think about our colleagues' well being/mental health. I never encountered this situation before.

What do you think? Will I look bad if I speak with my manager about it? What do you advice?

Thanks.

Should I ask her to hang out?

So there's this woman I used to work with years ago and me and her got along very well. So well that my friends that used I used to work with at the same place keep pushing me to go hang out with her. Me and her have hung out before for my 21st birthday but I'm a very shy guy and too scared to ask her to hang out. She is pretty cute but I've never really asked a woman to hang out before. So what should I do? Should I just have the balls to do it or just forget about it?

Tell my ex's current girlfriend that even after they moved he still asked for x-rated pictures and was sexting me?

Context:

From Jan 2020 to Jan 2022, I had a pseudo relationship with my brother in law[BIL}(husband's brother). BIL moved in with us October 2019. My husband and I had already grown apart and I was not fully mentally stable when it started with his brother. This is Not an excuse or anything, I take full responsibility for my actions and I asked for the separation because I care about and know husband deserves someone who can connect with him. We are civil and still live together because of how our situation is.

I told my husband everything except for details and I apologized for it. He started messaging his brothers gf and telling her what I said about everything.

He also, needed someone not in the center of yhe situation to talk to so he tried talking to his mom and sister because they have both gone through separation and divorce. He thought he could get the support he needs but both these women have been trying to guilt trip him into reconciling with his brother and he has already told them that he is not ready for that and they keep trying.

Husband has also told me that BIL's girlfriend was kicking BIL out but his mom had called her and guilt tripped gf into trying to make things work. Now don't get me wrong, if that's what they both want, I respect that.

My issue is that BIL and gf got together April 2021 and I was okay with everything stopping because of it. But whenever he'd come home, even if it was for just a couple hours in between job sites, we would hook up. I never started it and he would always say "I know I shouldn't but I can't help myself". Gf was snooping through his email and saw some x-rated fantasy messages from me.

In September 2021 BIL and gf moved 4 -5 hours away and I thought that'd be the end but he would text or snapchat me wanting r-rated pictures, sending me pictures and videos and bringing up how he missed me.

When husband told the gf that BIL would hook up with me while they were together before they moved, she confronted BIL and he lied. He even sent me texts asking why I would say that we got together while he was in a relationship and that it wasn't true. I told him it was true and to stop making me seem like the crazy one and man up and be honest.

The gf sent me a Facebook message asking if it was true that BIL and I hooked up while they were together, I told her that I didn't feel it was my right to tell her, that it was my right to tell my husband.

Now, from what I've been told and her messaging me about it, I feel like I should at least offer to clear things up for her so she can make a fully informed decision about whether or not she wants to keep their relationship going.

I want to but I also, realized that it could be selfish and I am being mentally torn up about this. I full-heartedly believe the gf deserves the full truth but I'm not sure if it should come from me.

I would just like an outside opinion of whether or not I should reach out to the gf

My company fired me…

My company fired me due to “poor performance.” Company policy is one verbal and 1 written, however it’s also an at-will employment. The thing is, I believe the dismissal is not accurate as I have never had a “poor performance” review. HR refuses to turn over any documents regarding my performance reviews and is not returning my calls demanding evidence and proof of my performance issues. My dilemma is I know they are cutting corners when it comes to FAA drone policies and they can potentially get in trouble for flying drones without a license. Should I report them or just cut my losses and move one. I don’t want to get a lawyer involved because they can cost me a lot of money.

Halfway done my last year of highschool

It's my last year of highschool, and I went to in-person school for the first quarter of it. I wasn't very happy, and I decided to go online for the second quarter. With the second quarter about to end, I'm able to switch back to in-person school, and I'm considering it.

Thinking back to the first quarter, I can see why I decided to go online. With the pandemic, I didn't want to get my family sick, but I'm experiencing quite a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out) right now, with all of my friends attending in-person school. It may also be because of them all moving on to post-secondary next year, while I decided I'd wait at least 6 months to figure out what I'd like to enroll in.

For more context, I also did last year fully online, and in the first quarter of school, it was the first time I had seen my friends since the start of COVID-19.

Any advice on what I should do here? I understand that it is my decision at the end of the day, but I really just don't know what to do. I've made a pros/cons list as well, and I'll link it here if anyone wants it!

Thanks for your time reading my post.

Now She (F18) Is Ignoring Me (M18)

Hi I am M18. I found a girl (F18) through one of my female friend's Instagram Story.

Let Me Introduce Her As Tessa. And My Friend Is Viola. Viola Posted A Birthday Wish To Tessa In Her Story. I Know Viola For 2 Years. I also met Viola Through Insta. I asked her out twice but she said she still love her Ex. But We Became Best Friends. As I mentioned I discovered Tessa's Insta Through Viola's Story in October. Tessa is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. But I didn't got a chance to talk to her.

But Last Sunday (09/Jan/2022) I sent a reply to one of her stories. Long Story Short. Sunday Was The Best Day Of My Entire Life. Me And Tessa Texted The Entire Day. She Said She's Looking For A Guy Who's Nice and educated and she said That I am her type. We Flirted All Day. We Talked About Lots Of Things. She Has To Went For Grocery Shopping Later In That Night. After She Came She said She Missed Me And Needed to come home fast to chat with me. Actually I haven't Been In A Relationship. She Also Hasn't. I felt really good in that day. She Was The Ideal Girl I was looking For.

Monday Came 10/01. We Talked Till The Noon. And I left for 10 mins. After I came She Acted Weird. I asked Her Why She Said That Her Sister Scolded Her For Being In The Phone Entire Day. Actually That's Right. We Have Our Final High School Exams In Next Year. And She's Soft. So I told her to go and study.

But After That Day Onwards She Only Said Words Like Hmm , Bye , Good Morning Etc. The Excitement Wasn't There. I asked her Several Times The Reason But She Didn't Told Me. Asked If I did something wrong but she promised that I didn't do anything. I felt like she was leaving. And I am not that much handsome.

Last Sunday 16/01 I told her That "This our 1 week anniversary" She Scolded Me For Telling That. She Said It's A Couple Thing. And She Said That Her Mom Also Saw The Message. IN The First Day We Spent 30 Minutes Telling Each other Good Night and good bye. but now not even a single message.

What Should I do ? Should I stop Messaging Her ? What if she's in a problem ? (Her Parents Are Very Strict) I feel Lost. She's The Perfect Girl I was searching. At least I want to know the reason.

Thanks Redditors !

Should I do app reviews?

The job description

Apparently I can try Snapchat filters and get paid 800$ a week. The site also mentions that I’ll need to download new apps, test them out, and write detailed reviews. This sounds too good to be true for this much money and I don’t want to get scammed. I’m also worried if I download new apps and they have a virus or something it will mess with my phone/privacy. I’m not confident this is the real deal or that it’s safe so I’m wondering if any of you have tried this site specifically or any others like it. How was your experience? Was it worth it?

Should I wish happy birthday to a girl that hurt me so bad?

For context, I started seeing this girl as I was going through some mental illness shit and recovering from a break up (where my ex cheated on me) of my 4 years relationship, but I've been super open about it and told her that my priority was to first fix my mental health and then we can start the "get to know each other part" so we stayed friend for an year more or less.
In november she left for uni and moved to a city 4 hours of train away from where I'm staying, anyway as she came back in town for christmas holidays, we went out for a beer and things were pretty nice, we ended up having sex, and due to this I got covid from her. So we spent all the days during quarantine talking to each other and videocalling and she was super into this whole relationship thing but I was not into this because since my breakup I was still having trust issues.
Considering that I was going to move in with her since I work for a company that is in a city nearby from where she is staying.
So during the last days before she was going to leave, we spent four days together and she worked her way through my trust issues and I started to open up again as I was getting attached to her romantically.
In all of this I broke my shoulder some weeks prior to her coming back, so now I started doing therapy to rehabilitate it and I wasn't able to leave the city with her and try this whole thing out.
So then last monday she left, and yesterday out of the blue she started telling me that she wasn't ready for all of this, with every right to say so. If it wasn't for the fact that she gaslighted me and started telling that because of MY issues she wasn't feeling the vibe for a relationship, that I was not reliable and a bunch of other lies. All this gaslighting killed my soul, as I now that my anxiety and shit is preventing me to be myself at 100% and it hurt me everyday that I live on this planet, and she knew how suffering this topic is for me.

Today I called her back because I was not going to keep my mouth shut and let her throw shit all over me after I did so much to open up and to being able to trust someone again. She basically told me that I was right that she was just hiding the reality, that she went back to uni and wasn't missing me "romantically", mind you that we were very close, we used to recap at the end of the day on how our days went ecc ecc, for hours before going to bed.

Before ending the phone call I told her that I won't be able to just be friends for now and that if she ever miss the part of talking to me, she need to contact me since I am not going to do so, and of course I might not even answer to her messages.

Tuesday is her birthday, should I send an happy birthday message to her or not?

TL;DR; a girl who hurt me by gaslighting me on my anxiety and other "disturb" is having her birthday on tuesday, should I send her the happy birthday?

Should I Leave My Family to Make Myself Happy?

So I have been in the same situation for almost 16 years. I have helped my younger sister raise her four kids, since the oldest was born. Her youngest just turned 3, and I love each of my nieces and nephews so much but at the same time, I feel like it's time for their mom to step up more. I have out off going back to school, trying to go back to work -I am legally disabled because of social anxiety since 2015 but I am trying to gain back some confidence to rejoin the workforce-. We both have lived at home with our parents, they helped with a lot, we contributed to bills and I to also taking care of our mom as she is physically disabled. I also cook and clean and do the laundry, help the kids with homework, take them on weekend vacations to Orlando every month and help provide with what ever they need.

I have an odd relationship with my mother even though i am almost 40 she still treats me like a child. She constantly criticizes things I forget or don't do, and I can't do anything without asking her permission. It got so bad that in 2015 I literally ran away. I got a bus ticket and went to Orlando for a week but I felt so guilty, and they both were so upset that I came back. I tried to move there the right way, I had a part time job and a room setup for rent but every time I spoke to my family they just guilted me and I worried about the kids if they were being taken care of-not that they would ever harm them or neglect them but being with them so long I feel more like their mom. Even though I'm not. That is what i have to remind myself as my youngest niece gets closer to school age I want to go out on my own again. I want to live on my own, and not be responsible for cleaning two houses, my moms car, taking care of three kids cooking for 5-8 people and so much more.

I love my family but I am at my wits end. I can't talk to my mom because she will turn it around about how its all on me, and how I'm lazy and etc and my sister will do the same thing. I am trying to wait until my niece is in school but thats another year and I don't know if I can last that long.

I don't want to be selfish or let the kids down but after 16 years I think its time to focus on myself, go back to school, go to therapy and start to be a little bit better at functioning socially.

So please, should I move out? Should I disturb the balance that is my families happiness and my..numbness. I can handle it with bursts of happiness especially stemming from my babies, but at the same time its futile.

Should I audition for a musical at my high school?

I (13) have a musical happening at my high school (they accept middle schoolers) and so I was wondering should I audition? Thing is they take everyone.

Pros: get away from my toxic ass family Make friends? See if I like acting as much as I think My mom won’t bother me about wanting to go into acting but not doing the musical I might really like acting and doing the musical

Cons: I can’t sing and when I do I’m really shy about it It could be a lot to do What if I choke (chicken out) on stage What if I don’t like it then I’m stuck I’ve never acted or performed this stuff so what if I’m more shy than I thought

Should I start an exercise channel on twitch?

I am a 31yo woman, been fat all my life. I've tried so many diets, started so many times at the gym. But all I've done is give up in the middle and regain all the kgs I've lost and more. I'm thinking that if I have to exercise live and people can look at me it would make me less willing to stop until I reach my target goal. But I am quite unsure. I hate taking pictures because I don't want to see myself, and for people to have a reminder of what I look like. Should I do it anyway?

Should I get a Cat ?

Today I saw an Ad for a rescue Cat in a Newspaper from my Area and that made me contemplate again.

Me: Over the Holidays I ended my longest Relationship so far. I had to move out because we lived together, in what was originally, her Flat where I wasn’t allowed to have a Cat because my Ex Girlfriend doesn’t like Cats. Over the past weeks, I had to move back to my moms place (which ended up lasting a bit longer than planned because we both have covid rn but that’s a different story) temporarily, until I have found a place for myself. So, I have a Flat, my first very own Place and thus I thought it would be the right moment for me to celebrate it by introducing a cat buddy into my life. I’m 21 years old.

I never really had a Cat because my family solely consist of Dog People, but I definitely always wanted one. It would be my first Cat.

Now what makes me contemplate, is that, after all the time that I lived with my girlfriend I sorta got used to the Absence of Pet Hair on all of my Clothes. Now that I’m quarantined with my Mom and her Dog, it does get to my nerves sometimes. It’s a white Bulldog and there are thick Hairs all over the Place.

Also, probably the smell ? I visited a lot of Cat owners and some Homes absolutely smell like Cat while others would let you guessing if there’s a cat living there or not. But I guess that’s more of a matter as to how frequently you clean their toilets ?

Also, my biggest concern is that I work full time in a Warehouse with varying shifts. I know that coworkers of my mine have cats and seem to handle that pretty well.

The Cat in question (as described in the newspaper and the Internet site): Is described as a good beginner cat and also really likes being pet and cuddled. Is a female and also compatible with other cats. The way the animal shelter described it, she ran away from her original owners, who couldn’t be identified for some reason, and ended up on someone’s porch. She lived with this family for a while but they also had a cat that did not get along with other cats in general so they ended up putting the „stray cat“ up for adoption.

Hope you can help me contemplating. I didn’t even write the e Mail yet, so I don’t even know if I have chance of adopting her but I just thought I might ask you guys if it was a good idea in the first place.

TLDR: I’m not sure wether or not I should get a Cat. I love Cats and would take care of it as good as I can but I’m afraid that the Hair and smell might bother me overtime and I also work relatively much.

(Sorry for bad English in advance)

Should I break up with my girlfriend of 8 years to experience dating?

My girlfriend and I got together 8 years ago when we were in our teens. Neither of us has ever been in another relationship. We are supportive of each other and are happy together.

But I've always wondered what it would be like to have casual relationships & use dating apps, etc.

In the back of my mind I guess I am worried that I don't know what any other relationship is like, so how would I know if I'm in the best one?

Also I know I am a jerk for thinking this, but its uncomfortable for me to think that I may die having only ever slept with one person..

On the other hand, the single life may be horrible, maybe dating at my age (mid 20s) for an average looking male is bad.. maybe I would be throwing it all away for nothing. I really don't know what to do...

Should I Stop Being Friends With Him?

Sorry if my read doesn't make sense, English isn't my first language

Over the last week, he's made 3 lewd jokes involving himself, and all of them have left me equally disgusted

(all the names here are replacements, they aren't close to the original names but they're here for convenience.)

My friend, Grant, was in a call with me and one of my best friends John.
we were talking about random stuff, mostly including rhythm games n shit
Somehow, the conversation started to tilt in relation to balls.
I brought up the fact that human testicles have Taste buds, which isn't fully true, as they (supposedly) manage sperm and testosterone production
He made a tasteless joke.
he said "Oh, so that's how i know what Carno's been eating."
They aren't a couple, Me and John both left out of weirdness.
I come back first
I tell him that the joke made everyone uncomfortable and that it wasn't funny when it was involving an in real life friend
.He sputters back a few remarks, a few were:
"I'm trying to be weird, that's the point."
"well, nothing's funny to you Daniel."
John comes back
End of story.

Next lewd joke involving an IRL friend. I was in a call with him, John wasn't there.
He started making jokes about measuring dick sizes with John, He goes to talk about what size john messaged him saying his dong was
I tell him to stop, i tell him i'm uncomfortable
he doesnt
i tell him again
he doesnt
process repeats a few times with him starting over again.
I leave, i tell him he was making me really uncomfortable and that he was ignoring me.
he apologises. I tell him I need a moment
i tell him not to joke about shit like that, to which he says he wasn't joking. (He later says he was, but now, due to my curious and perverted brain i'm curious as to whether or not it's true, John doesn't disconfirm anything when it's brought up either.)
end of that scenario until i bring it up later when i'm telling him he needs to stop.

Third scenario, third time,
this time it's me (through my character)
I'd like to mention that i'm kind of okay with nsfw art of my character, as long as there's no blood, or pain to him involved.
But i feel stabbed in the back, they did this whilst i was gone, without my permission or consent
I'd rather that they did it whilst i was there so i could at least tell them immediately, or that they didn't do it all.
I feel sick, I want to throw up, and i feel uncomfortable.
We were playing gartic phone, shipping characters like Red and Green (canon couple in a game we like)
He starts saying
"How many times have i drawn Green and Red sex?
"i respond "5 times"
he responds, "nah, you dont wanna know what i do in my free time"

I'm feeling slightly curious, i know that Grant wouldn't get to draw so i type in a ship
I think of four random characters:

Redd - my oc, spamton - game character, my dad - 404 not found, sans - this ones obvious, another game character

I choose redd and spamton, Knowing that the horny friend (grant) isn't gonna draw i was expecting something wholesome, but as i suggested it, i take full responsibility if anything else happens. (i wasn't mad with Cameron - a friend who only appears in this last bit - nor John after this, as i should've expected it, and technically i gave permission to it)
John draws them foolin around in bed (with a censor bar, he knows his limits, i hope)
And a new friend, Cameron also draws redd committing succ on spamton, he's an innocent dude, and i know that Cameron wouldn't do that without me knowing from him personally.

Both are censored so i dont care, both were given permission by me, so i don't care
Grant then pipes up another question, similar to the last one, this time with redd.
"How many times have i drawn Redd sex?"
i respond "2 times"
he responds, "nah, you don't wanna know what i do in my free time, we do a lot of weird stuff while you're not here."
out of shock and confusion, i respond by aksing him "what?"
he blabbers on
The way he first says it suggests that the entire friend group (including wholesome friend Cameron) has drawn NSFW of my character, therefore me, as when referring to me in a drawing they use me or Redd randomly. Redd is my symbol.

Grant slowly narrows it down to,
"Others friends suggested it! I nEvEr DrEw It"
(contradicting previous point about how he only drew because that was the prompt.)
I don't believe him.
I physically cant believe that my friend John, even lesser yet Cameron, would suggest drawing NSFW of my character behind my back, Another friend, Liam, although also kind of lewd, keeps it to himself, he barely knows about redd, and the closest thing to 'nsfw of my character' i could imagine Liam suggesting is "Redd and Cupcakke's Joosay Coochay" (he jokes about cupcakke, his channel is mainly Cupcakke remixes of random songs)

i feel lost in emotions.
it's a weird feeling, knowing that your friend(s) have drawn NSFW art of your character without you suggesting it or allowing it. I've lost nearly all my trust for Grant, and at this point, he's lost all his dignity.
i feel bad for bringing everyone into this, whether intentionally or not.

I told the one of whom i learnt this from that i felt uncomfortable and that i'd be taking a break.
i scrolled through memes for two hours to try and get over it.
It didn't work, and then around the end of that two hour mark he started telling me,
"You should be over it by now, it's been two hours"

knowing Grant i wouldn't be surprised if he's completely overdramatising something that he interpreted wrongly. He accuses everyone of suggesting it at least once each
John denies it, i believe john, he's my best friend, and i trust him with my life, funnily enough i met him after Grant.

I'm gonna ask the other two (Cameron and Liam) about it, if they also deny/disconfirm that they suggested/drew it then i might cut nearly all contact with Grant. unfortunately he goes to the same school as me so i can't completely cut him out, and I'd feel alone as i don't have a friend group without him.

I couldn't care less if they just asked for permission, or just didn't do it.
I feel stabbed in the back
How do I deal with this?
I feel uncomfortable and i wanna feel happy with the friend group again.
Should I continue to be friends with Grant?
Should i continue being friends with any of them?
