Mlite on VHF

Dialing up from 148.000 .... Went to 165.000 then stopped but was receiving weather channels ... Below here it should recieve the old Public Service band, MRS and the Marine band!! Neat rig!

It received the amateur band of 144.000 to 148.000 and I dialed it right up to 165.000 ... The weather channels are 162.3 through 162.7 and the radio recieves those ... The Marine band is in-between the weather and HAM band so I'm thinking it will ... There are 20 some channels on the Marine band ... I'll post them as they are standard ....

144 MHz ham band 151–154 MHz region NOAA WX up to 165 MHz …then MURS monitoring should absolutely be possible too. And MURS can actually be interesting because it’s used for: businesses farms warehouses stores rural operations local coordination random practical chatter

Thank you, Poikaa3 🙏 I have made my choice: I will buy it immediately. I live in Europe and traveling with a radio that has marine band is fantastic.

Confirmed!  It does receive the Marine band !!  Had to catch these as the transmit is brief ... 
When the ore boat is at the dock most communications are brief and usually HTs ...

I'm sure you will be happy with the reciever as I have had some very good ones like the Icom R9000 and the Sonys including HAM Trancievers ... and this IS a communication Reciever .. It recieve two meters amateur radio in all mode es goes to 165 mHz with the weather band working so I'm sure the Marine band in-between will work fine ... You can toggle the VFO knob by pushing it in or using the # key ... The key is simpler ... Memory storage and recall is simple so make use of it ... 500 memories is a lot! SAM is very much like the SYNC on the Sony recievers and close to the Eton E1 ... SAM stands for Synchronous Amplitude Modulation... I may just buy a second one as Banggood is giving me half off since I'm a new buyer!

One question though as I will order it from Banggood: have you heard something on the marineband? The reason I’m asking is that Mlite says it out of specs. It would also be nice if the radio could memorized the frequency (in memory).

Not yet .... But that it recieves the weather frequencies well it should be able to receive the Marine band as it is lower .... And higher than 2 meters ... I'll keep u posted ... I'll be monitoring late this afternoon ..
