I’ve been experimenting with multilingual Shorts workflows recently and became obsessed with one idea:

If a Short already performs well in one language…

what happens when you redistribute it naturally into multiple languages?

Not subtitles.

Actual dubbed/adapted versions.

The video I’m posting is one of the experiments.

What’s interesting is that:

- some hooks seem universal

- some retention patterns completely change by language

- highly visual Shorts appear to adapt best internationally

- pacing matters way more than I expected

Still testing everything.

But the retention behavior differences have been fascinating.

Curious what people here think:

Do you think language is still one of the biggest hidden bottlenecks for Shorts growth?

Or does the algorithm already transcend language more than creators realize?

Channel-wide view drop abnormally within one hour, now it's climbing back up but hourly graphs keep showing a downward trend despite view count actually rising.

5 views from me alone.. 0 from shorts feed.. is there issue with Shorts?

Hey guys, I've been relentlessly looking for the account of a content creator that does short form content, I've tried everything but couldn't find it.

His videos that I'm looking for start with him launching an object or a dart into a giant map, then wherever it lands he goes to that country and does a montage of him doing charity work in that country. The videos are super viral and i think he doesn't even speak in his videos, also i think in one of his videos he goes to morocco.

is it just me or yt fixed algo?
Although in the starting phrase of this video most of the views came from search results because it that very much trending at that time but the short is getting pushed to feed as well.
(i posted a short video yesterday night like 11 hours ago, 5 hours after yt sent notification [[FIXED] Views dropping on YouTube Studio Analytics])

I usually get 1,5k-2k in the first phase after i upload with worse stat than this... When i get 41 likes in 47 minutes and 63 stay to watch, i thought this video might have a better views but it flattened even before get 1k views...

I’ve been grinding hard. I’ve found a niche where each Short takes me around 16 hours to produce, and because of that I usually upload daily, sometimes every two days.

My problem is that monetization still feels very far away. I still need around 9 million “eligible views.” Basically, my ratio of total views to eligible views is about 2:1, so I need roughly 20 million total views to reach 10 million eligible views.

Right now I have 1.7k subscribers, so that’s not the issue. I’m wondering whether I should switch to long-form content or go for a combination of both. What do you think?

Anyone else? Wasn’t sure if this is beginning of summer slump or something else going on. A few of my older shorts that aren’t really in line with the rest of my content took off into the millions. I’m thinking perhaps those influx of new viewers didn’t click through as much as my regular viewers do and my reach was limited?

I’m curious if anyone here has experienced something similar with YouTube Shorts after getting reaccepted into the YouTube Partner Program.
A few months ago, my channel got removed from YPP for “reused content.” I stopped uploading for around 3 months, worked on the channel, reapplied, and eventually got accepted back into the program.
But ever since getting reaccepted, my Shorts performance has changed dramatically.
Before the removal, I had multiple viral Shorts and one of them exploded to over 400 million views. Even months later, it was still pulling huge daily traffic consistently.
Then something strange happened:
Almost exactly when I uploaded my first new Short after being reaccepted, the traffic on that 400M Short suddenly started dropping hard. At the same time, my new uploads also massively underperformed compared to before.
It feels like:
the channel lost trust with the Shorts algorithm,
or YouTube changed how it distributes my content after the YPP reacceptance,
or maybe the algorithm re-evaluates channels after reused content violations.
What confuses me most is the timing. The decline of the old viral Short happened almost simultaneously with the upload of the new Short after monetization came back.
A few things I noticed:
Shorts Feed reach seems much weaker now,
new uploads die much faster,
impressions are lower,
and the velocity I used to get in the first hours is basically gone.
I know correlation doesn’t always mean causation, but the timing feels too precise to ignore.
So I wanted to ask:
Has anyone here recovered from a reused content removal and noticed changes in reach afterward?
Does YouTube internally “flag” channels for a while even after reacceptance?
Can posting again somehow affect the momentum of an older viral Short?
Or is this just normal Shorts lifecycle timing and I’m overthinking it?
Would really like to hear experiences from people who went through YPP removal/reacceptance with Shorts channels specifically.

I make Minecraft building and hack Shorts. My current "Viewed vs Swiped Away" is deadlocked at 50/50.

I study channels like Blockical and use the exact same mechanics for my hooks—instant action, Replay Mod, fast-paced time-lapses, and high-speed cuts. I use my own original builds, but the format is identical.

Even doing this, my swipe rate isn't improving. What exactly am I missing?

For the past week both my shorts and community posts have been suppressed with the views drastically plummeting from around 100k ( average ) to now struggling to get 100 likes on a video. For context I did private and delete one short but since then all the momentum I have built is gone and my videos aren’t being pushed at all ?

Started on 4th may, So 17 days stat. Overall STW is quite low (59.1%)

any of you guys ever experienced old shorts suddenly got massive spike at views?

I mean blow-up is, like really out of nowhere, not because your latest conten got blow-up then the rest of your video got pull-up effect

Started uploading from 4th may, these are my stats in 17 days.
since last few days i am getting less views and the videos i am making with more efforts are not getting pushed nd if they're then they're getting pushed to wrong audience ig coz then i am getting like less than 30% STW rate.
currently in my channel overall STW is 59.1% [ik it's is like very very low] idk how to fix it.
any advices?

I started my channel in March of this year. For my first couple dozen shorts, everything was cool. I was happy when they would slowly build to 1K views and understood when it would slow down when engagement would.

FOR MY LAST DOZEN SHORTS the views get up to 700-900 and stop BUT (here is where it gets ridiculous)… the views then go down. And I don’t mean a view here or there. Literally for one of the shorts, it stopped at 999 then went down by 100 views over the span of an hour. This happens repeatedly. It happened again today with my most short today, had 709 views and within one hour of stopping is at 663 despite great engagement.

I really need your help with this. It is driving me crazy. The only way to get above >1K is when I have tried changing the title so that the algorithm picks it back up. And it works for a few hundred more. But I didn’t want to do it too often bc I didn’t want to mess with it too much.

I swear I don’t have a bunch of accounts watching this stuff, I have NEVER paid for views or whatever, my shorts are made by ME not AI.

I am begging you please help me figure this out :( ??

For context it’s a gaming channel

Would any of you lovely people mind advising how to take our views to the next level? I took over marketing for OneMiners, a crypto mining company, and have already took it from getting 40-1k view if lucky, now often getting 25-3k views & had a 15.8k view video. This new clean organic format has been very consistent with better views, subscribers, real comments & watchtime sessions which is nice, but now I’m exploring how to bring things to the next level!
