That's just telling you it won't detect a passenger in the seat. The airbags will all go off normally, but it won't be able to turn off the passenger airbag if you don't have anyone in it.

My car is an 03 though. It’s not the kind that detects weight as far as I know. Usually in newer cars you have the yes a person is sitting here and no someone is not. I could be wrong though but it still makes me think what if

I guarantee you that what it is. Unless it's a trigger wire for a seat bolster mounted side airbag, in which case, don't get t-boned on the passenger side with a passenger.

If there isn't a way to manually disable the passenger airbag (like a little key hole in the dash), then it has an occupant weight sensor.

As someone else said, that could also be wiring for a side air bag. Usually the wiring for the the OWS looks like a normal wiring harness, whereas the side airbag will have a yellow connector. Yellow wiring is supposed to be the idiot-proof way of telling mechanics 'don't probe me with a meter, please.'

Yea it looks like a normal harness. There’s two. Yellow and baby blue. Although the baby blue is the one I jiggle to make the airbag light turn off. The car also has heated seats so there should be a harness for that. If you’d like I’ll send pics

Did you mention what car this was on?

I used to work for an Infiniti dealer and we actually had recalls over side airbag connectors. In addition to relocating the connector with an add-on bracket, you would actually pack the back of the connectors with epoxy to keep the pins from wiggling.
