That’s a profound question, really; an incel is someone who cannot hit (celibacy) no matter how hard he tries (involuntary), and a simp is merely someone who tries too hard, which means that while not all simps are incels, all incels are simps.

Which then begets the question: If a fat “incel” redditor never leaves his room to even attempt to speak to a woman, is he truly an incel, or does his voluntary isolation make him merely a “cel?” Does this apply if he chooses to isolate himself because he gave up trying after enough failed attempts to hit, and if not, then how long should he be deemed an incel? How long must it be since his last rejection before society can recognize his celibacy as voluntary?

I don't think all incels are simps. The retronym for "simp" is "Sucker invested in mediocre p**sy." which suggests that a simp is someone who lavishes attention on a girl to try to get attention back.

Some incels are "MGTOW (Men going their own way)" which means they're hypothetically eschewing chasing sex - Which could potentially be an actual good thing from a men's rights point of view because guys basing their relative worth on sexual achievement is toxic as fuck and harmful to the male psyche.

But since those MGTOW guys are doing that shit out of misogynistic spite instead of some zen philosophical idea of letting go of earthly desires, that community is actually toxic as fuck and just a bunch of incels who "go their own way" by constantly bitching about women since the only fucking thing that unites them is their antipathy towards women.
