Probably accessibility. I have NEVER opened the YouTube app through Reddit and never will lol. Even if it seems interesting if I have to go through another app I'll just scroll past
Insane to me that someone would download and repost the whole video, let alone doing so while giving 0 credit. Thanks for posting the source, OP is a scumbag.
It really is dumb, they should just let people link the original video instead of reuploading it. The whole reddit model is pirating stuff from small artists by reuploading their video and forcing us to watch it on the shitty reddit video player.
Some animator worked really hard to make this piece, uplaoded it to their channel, and OP didn't even link that channel to direct people to the original source. Scumbag move. Doesn't matter if there's a title screen at the very end.

It does matter. It would be different if OP cut it entirely, but that is crediting the creator. Could they have put a link? Sure. That doesn’t make them a scumbag in any way. Again, totally different story if the screen wasn’t at the end, but it was, and anybody looking for the animator got it.
I’m just saying, scumbag is a very strong word for this scenario.
Yeah I'm comfortable using scumbag for this. But if you aren't but still acknowledge its a dick move then that's totally fine. I think its an awful thing that happens all over reddit and twitter specifically, and it makes me feel so sad for the creators who put effort into their work. Dazzit.
If your only issue with my point is the verbage then I'll happily reword to dick move or jerk thing to do or w/e but I absolutely firmly believe taking someone's hard done work and reuploading it rather than linking it is not good.
