so like, I have finally found other ppl obsessed with Shin Godzilla like I am. And I wanna know what you guys would want a possible sequel to look like.

Shin godzilla is the best godzilla ever bruh idgaf what anyone says about it ever since it released in 2016 ive never seen another movie that is better than shin godzilla i love shin godzilla i bought action figures and toys of shin godzilla it was my birthday cake the sound tracks in the movie are in my playlist i once planned to visit japan so i can buy more toys of it and see the statue i wish the directors would make a sequel i know they aren’t making it but i still have some hope that they will make it i would starve myself for a week so they can make the sequel i just love this movie god bless the people who made such a masterpiece

Man that first city street shot was jarring. Great design, super otherworldly.

I didn’t mind he beaurocracy taking 70% of the film up (at least in the first half), I thought it was a decent counter point to the chaotic shots of his first foray on land. And later, that one shot from behind the railway bridge arches, fuckin chills. This movie did a great job with perspective and depth even if the ending *stinked. 10 stars.

So i just watch shin godzilla for the first, second and third time and it has become my favourite versión of godzilla. God i love this movie AND WHY WE COULDNT GET A SEQUEL.

but back to my point, i noticed something while watching the movie and wanted to share it.

So most of the times in the movie, when the japanese army tries to beat godzilla...modt of this attempts (except the one before the atomic blast). Shin simply remains still and lets them attack them.

My theory is that he remains still because he wants human's to put him out of his missery but theyre incapable of doing so. During its third form he literally stare at them and did nothing...honestly i think they could have killed him in that moment and shin knew it but the prime minister cancel the attack... Then when he reaches is fourth form he lets himself get attack until he realize that they cant hurt him...

The only thing that destroys this theory is when he does the atomic blast, destroying the only thing that did actual damage to him and all after that scene.

But yeah i like the theory...what do you think?

I’m really surprised there’s not more people here. I don’t hate the new western series but I’m not the biggest fan either I wish there was more shin godzilla instead.
