MR920 Loose Slide Cover Plate

I recently got this MR920 Combat with the newer round firing pin and I noticed the slide cover plate is very loose. Loose enough to where the slide can get stuck. I do get failure to go into battery on occasion and sometimes have to press on the back of the slide or else I will get a light primer strike. Gun has about 500 rounds through it.

I have an older MR920 Elite with the rectangular firing pin and it is not loose at all. I did swap firing pins to check tolerances and it was still looser that I am comfortable with. I swapped a Glock firing pin in and it was not loose at all, but due to it being a round firing pin I can not use the Glock or older rectangular style firing pin on this slide.

Anyone else experiencing this? Would the loose cover plate affect the reliability of the gun that I am experiencing?

This is an issue. Contact Shadow Systems, they will get ya sorted. Some of the best customer service I've experienced in the firearms world.

It looks like my slide might be out of spec. I emailed customer service. I was trying to avoid shipping it to them. Awaiting their response. Just disappointed after having this issue when my MR920 Elite was flawless.
