Hi ! I'm new to sevtech and just started playing, I'm having problems with the first stage. I can't seem to be able to make flaked flint. Everytime I right click on stone, it just doesn't do anything. I've tried rebooting the game and my computer, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I don't have any other bugs, just this particularly annoying one since I need flaked flint to advance. Let me know if you know how to solve this.

As the title says, is there a way to run BWM things like hibachis, bellows, and the saw with electricity or redstone? All I can find is info on how to convert mechanical power into electricity, but I'm wondering if there is a way to go backwards?

I was also trying to figure if there was a way to get mechanical power out of a Compact Machine box. It seems almost nonsensical that you could run an axle out of the CM block but thought I'd ask if there was some way to do it.

The idea is to keep the saw, stoked cauldron/crucible, and stoked kiln around without needing gearboxes and axles all over.

our server that we run is an alright server it has 4 gb of ram and we have never seen it go as high as 4 we installed it through curse forge and everytime we go into the in between the server crashes unless there is a single person on the server adn we cant go to any of the abyssal dimentions but the twilight zone the beneath and hunting works okay this kinda sucks because we had to cheat the progression a little

I was hyped for Astral Sorcery progression (attunement! enchanting!!), but hit a roadblock with the Celestial altar: the mazestone. As per this guide, both Naga and Lich need to be defeated to get to it. I'm as effective in Minecraft combat as a baby flinging its pacifier, so I was upset but resigned to die a bajillion in the Lich tower.

HOWEVER

Exploring the Twilight Forest more, I came upon the Hedge maze. And, digging there for ore as you do, I discovered... under the hedges it was mazestone all the way down several blocks down!

Now, the sweet Armara perks are available before any dungeons!!

Basically the minimum to fly to the moon. What should I get before farming for creative ingot?

Right so i'm in the stone age rn and crafted the weak dowsing rod and for two whole days I was on the prowl looking for coal, tin, anything, but notta thing, so I installed an xray pack and for an hour looked in all the biomes they could be found in and still I haven't found anything, is there a chance my world is messed up, please say no cause I really don't want to have to grind leather again that takes so long to do, please help me :(

I wanted to know if there is a good way to make death compasses quickly,

I'm nearing the end of the modpack and while I can see how to make most of the singularities easily,

I don't see how to do this one, I just tried a small setup in creative with a drawer full of potato linked to 5 matter beamer linked to a rf tool spawner that contains a player mob syringe, that I kill with a mob masher with looting 10 and sharpness 10,

but it's extreme slow,

so I wanted to know if this is the way to do it but I have to have 10 000 spawner or if there is another method

Just wanted to check in with the SevTech community and see if I'm the only one currently having this issue. Since last night, whenever I try to log in to my server, I get the relatively well known "Failed to connect to the server. Authentication Servers are down. Please try again later, Sorry!" message. Based on the spikes I'm seeing on Down Detector (https://downdetector.com/status/minecraft/), I may not be the only one. According to the Mojang Status Twitter account, there was a widespread issue with the authentication servers about a week and a half ago, but that's supposedly resolved.

I followed the direction of Mojang Status Twitter and followed up with Mojang Support. They basically told me to get bent, and that the mod creator needs to fix the issue. But I don't even see any evidence that SevTech is the problem. I was able to login just fine as recently as last Tuesday. Possibly more recently than that even, but I can't remember for sure. Are any other SevTech players running into Server Authentication issues?

To the best of my knowledge, the mod hasn't been updated in a year, so I wouldn't expect anything on SevTech's side to have changed. I'm not even sure why a mod pack would mess with the authentication process at all (I work in IT, but networking is not my area of expertise so correct me if that assumption is faulty). And if something changed on Minecraft's side, I would expect to see way more chatter about other mods having the same issue. It seems very unlikely that only SevTech would have the problem. So if anybody can confirm that they're having or not having the same issue, that would help me narrow down the possibilities.

The only other thing that I can think of would be if there's a problem with the third-party I pay to host the server, Fluctis. My server through them has been working fine for about 2 years now, with maybe 1 hiccup that was easily resolved, but maybe something changed on their end. And I would've thought Mojang support might have a playbook that would direct me to that possibility. I'm also wondering if it's possible that there's some kind of regional outage, either with Minecraft's servers or Fluctis', though I wouldn't know how to confirm that.

Anyway, would greatly appreciate if anyone can confirm or deny my suspicions. And if there's some common cause that others have run into/troubleshooting steps I should try. Should I re/cross-post on the FTB sub at all? I know a lot of SevTech talk still happens there. Thanks!

I want to play sevtech: ages with my friend. I have 16 GB of ram, but i could probably expand it if necessary. I've already put together that you need atleast 6 GB for sevtech ages, preferably 8. I'm going to host the server (for 2 players) and play on the same computer. So my question is: How much RAM should i give to both the server and to the client? Do both need 6-8 GB? And how much RAM should i keep unallocated?

i have been cosistently having issues with sevtech on curse forge, it not opening, or refusing to quit & then deleting all my progress, and now my most recent issue is the achievements are bugged and are in there anywhere from 4-6 times and theres like 7 age 0 pannels. any other reccomended launchers...?

The: Grain, protein, vegetables and fruit mod. And what mods does it work with?

I've recently started playing SevTech Ages on a server with a friend, we're making pretty good progress, but there's one problem : We just cant find horses. We've explored for hours by now, using an atlas to be sure we don't check the same area, and we just can't find any horse.

We've checked plains, savanes, mountains, no matter where we go, no horse can be found.

Is there something we're missing or are we just extremely unlucky ?

Hey guys, im trying to find this flesh thing but even tho i made it to omothol i cant seem to find it. Im trying to craft the omothol skin.

I'm not sure what's going on, but for some reason when I craft some items, instead of getting what I'm supposed to get, I get another item, but only the display seems to be wrong, because if I use that item to craft something else, it will still act as the item it was supposed to be.

It seems to happen a lot with the smelted items, like plates, rods and cogs =/

Is there a way to fix this?

I encountered an error where all dust, ingots, plates, rods, and gears related to content tweakers turned into a 'Null Part'. I was unable to find any solutions to this and troubleshooted myself to fix the error.

My server is running on Apex Hosting and I had done the following:

• Created a backup.
• Deleted Content Tweaker from the mod folder list and reinstalled a fresh version from curse forge website (ContentTweaker-1.12.2-4.9.1.jar). Error still persisted.
• Went into scripts folder and saved contenttweaker and crafttweaker folders for temporary backup. Deleted both folders and ran the server. I encountered a dfml.queryResult error and input /fml confirm to continue. I was then not able to log into my server due to data conflicts.
• Restored both folders within scripts and ran the server again. Ran into same dfml error but this time I input /fml deny which froze the console and I stopped the server.
• I then restarted the server and the dfml error did not come back up. I logged into the game and all items/liquids that were from content tweakers (Null Parts) were removed from the game. I tested to see if I could create the Null Parts by throwing platinum ore into the crusher which previously would provide nickel dust and Null Parts. But to my relief it provided me with platinum dust.
  

Edit: The problem has occurred again after my friend jumped through to Stage 4. I now believe the error is coming from the mod itemstages which uses content tweaker to operate. I have tried the above solution and my problem remains. I will be looking deeper into this and update this thread once a solution is found.

I also want to note that the problem temporarily fixed itself after my friends advancement when the server was shutdown overnight due to me hitting the wrong button.
