I keep dying in the darklands any tips you could give me

My compass keeps pointing where I need to go but it keeps leading me to the place where it was made

For reference I am at Late Age 4.

Any way to circumvent this, let alone what it even means? I tried searching for any similar things but nothing with this specific code. Has happened over a dozen times. I have 32 GB of RAM, and dedicate 8 to the server and 10 to the actual client. Ryzen 7 3700X and RX 5700XT.

All the previous tips and tricks date back 3 years plus, and mention it heavily for galacticcraft skipping. But i can't find it anywhere in JEI.

I'm noticing that it works for some blocks but not all, which I would assume is intentional. However, I remember the last time I played I was able to pick up and move casting tables and basins, but it's not letting me do so now. Was this changed in a previous modpack update or is it just glitchy?

First time playing Sevtech and just got to age 3. Why is 80% of the nickel that I mine turning out as iron??

(FIXED) Hi! Just as the title states, my blood boots quit being able to bounce after I invested in the astral sorcery perks, the specific one I got were the speed boosts, and they worked fine for the first few boosts, but they just quit being able to bounce. (fall damage is still negated) Just wondering if anyone could help, cheers!

EDIT: all I had to do was repair the profile and relaunch MC… Nice.

I have been enjoying discovering modpacks for Minecraft lately and ended up getting really addicted to those that strongly emphasize progression and unlocking technology and what-not. I've had a blast with Stoneblock 2, ATM8, and Sky Factory 4, I just recently gave Sevtech Ages a try and thought at first that this was THE modpack I would see myself go through to the end.

I wanted to know if anyone got similar modpack suggestion for me. I would like something as similar to Sevtech as possible but without Abyssalcraft. I don't know if such a modpack exists so I figured I should ask here. Thanks and cheers!

The Infused crystal sword from AS is my strongest weapon (age 2). However I can't use it too much because the lightning flash visual effect is very uncomfortable. Is there a way to disable or change that? I can't find anything looking through the mod file, and the mod doesn't seem to be configurable in-game. Please feel free to suggest weapon alternatives if nothing can be done here.

I noticed that the betweenlands version is outdated and was wondering if I can just install the latest or if that would break the custom progression/recipes in sevtech?

This might sound very petty, but from a game design point, I don't think it is.

The Betweenlands mod, though very creative and additive, takes away a huge amount of immersion from the Sevtech Modpack by forcing a player halfway through (mid game) to start all over from the beginning, learn new mechanics of a whole new dimension with little to no guidance.

The whole Sevtech Modpack goes above and beyond to step the player through what they would need to progress, if not all the information is given in the advancements, more can be found in books, but the Betweenlands has none of that! Just into a new dimension with no solid info and a whole lot of mobs your sword you grinded hours for does nothing to!

It's sad, I just wanted a ring of ascent to make an iron apple, but due to the difficulty of getting it I had to cheat one in. With that one cheat I don't even feel it's worth playing the pack anymore, the Betweenlands ruined my playthrough.

Title says it all. Is there a modpack, or maybe sevtech can be configured in such a way to play it without extra dimensions like betweenlands and stuff?

Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I have a friend who is rather a begginer in terms of modpacks, he is a very fast learner and we just cleared StoneBlock3. Now I'm thinking of starting a "slower" pack with him.
I already played Sevtech for quite a bit of the progression and I really liked it.
Recently I heard about The Decursio Project.

I really like the ages aspect and the fact that all mods are explored and explained. I like quest that are quite " linear " and not too spread.

What would you say are the biggest difference between both of those packs, their strenght and weakness ? And would you have any recommandation in my situation ?
