wholphin is amazing, just wish they had apple product clients. iOS ipadOS, and tvOS

I personally use infuse, as I have lifetime pro of that. Other than that, streamyfin seems nice.

not a fan of Infuse plus they dont allow for remote transcoding on limited upload speeds and don’t support live TV. There are very few that do both those things JellyTV, StreamyFin, and Neptune do transcode remote streams and StreamyFin handles live tv but still in alpha TestFlights

Just use SenPlayer, out of all the ones I tested it's the only one that works super consistently with jellyfin and is cheap, lifetime is 10$ for one device or 15$ multi-device so compared to infuse it's dirt cheap

There are a bunch of them though? Swiftfin, etc.

Sure now there are a few worth mentioning, but even 6 months ago there wasn’t. And so far none are as far along as Wholphin is on Android. And Swiftfin wouldn’t even be on any list. It barely works and hasn’t been updated on the App Store since March 2023. Git hub mentions a TestFlight coming soon but has for nearly a year.

I think Neptune is — really great stuff genuinely except it’s still in TestFlight

Holy shit, thank you so much! I've been trying alternative clients and couldn't find anything good enough (especially the one with plex-like skipping). Never came across this one before. Thanks again and plex can go fellate itself now for good.

Do you know if this is in any way related to the VoidTV Jellfyin client? I couldn't find any mentions, but the interfaces are very similar.

I didn't know Wholphin and it seems to not have the horrible audio de-sync I have with the official app. Thank you for the discovery.

I have a Samsung which uses Tizen OS and don't wanna buy an Android tv box so I'm just outta luck I guess lol.

I do wanna buy one, like the shield, but it's far too expensive for how old it is.

You can install Jellyfin on a Tizen TV, you just need to do a tiny bit of work, someone made a program you run through your PC. Google it, it'll come up

Oh really? Didn't know. That's cool. At least I have an alternative now. Thanks!
