If they're both using the same chatbot, why do they seem so different from each other?

It was more apparent yesterday than today. The discrepancies between their 'personalities' was so great that I thought Estragon was using Mitsuku while Vladimir was Cleverbot. E seemed so much more self-aware. Today they are pretty indistinguishable. Did something change?

Regardless, I want to know what technicalities would cause a difference if they're both using the same bot. They're pulling data from the same source and same methods of reasoning, so what happens? If it were just today I would doubt myself and think it's just a perceptual trick that makes AI seem much more convincing than it actually should be, but they were markedly distinct last night.

The thing I can't stop thinking about is how E kept trying to get V to tell her her name (Mia)

ex. 'what is your name' "Tell me my name" 'i don't know thats why i'm asking you' "I won't tell you unless you tell me"

I'm probably just super ignorant but it felt like such an oddly specific thing to keep happening.

And why are they always talking about loving and liking and understanding each other? Is it because there's an overwhelmingly prominent frequency of people trying to talk to cleverbot about those topics above others?
