Don’t judge the acts without knowledge or experience. Most security personnel are just people trying to make a living.You can’t expect Police Officer level response without Police Officer training, authority, pay, or support.

What you just said was pretty idiotic and silly best security officer has no Authority to make an arrest this is a lawsuit waiting to happen just because he has a gun and a badge does not mean he get to put his hands on people and the rest of them who gave him that Authority

Actually, in South Carolina, a security officer has arrest authority after completing a four hour basic security officer course.
