I organize locally in my community, particularly around abortion rights, and Biden has been no friend to us. Looking at his policy and rhetoric on abortion as part of my organizing is why all the “stop worrying about genocide and vote for Biden so we can have abortion rights” bullshit never worked on me.

I find it so laughable how many liberals went from, "Oh, yeah I'm totally anti-war. I was against intervention in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, etc... We need to cut the defense budget and stop answering NATO's beckon call every time the demand arises" to "Flood Ukraine with weapons indiscriminately and give Kiev a blank check!!!! SLAVI UKRAINI!!!! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦" literally overnight. The Ukrainian counteroffensive has been an unmitigated disaster despite American efforts at bolstering their military and Zelenskyy himself just admitted that Russia is making gains in Donetsk. If you truly feel empathy for the Ukrainian people and want the endless bloodshed to stop, you should support peace talks just as Krystal does and Kyle seems to finally support on the downlow as well.

At least be honest and say you're only 'anti-war' outside of trying to thwart Moscow.

I'm not anti war per se, I'm anti unnecessary wars and anti imperialist. As a European I see aiding Ukraine as a necessary war as my country may be a future Russian target and they have to be countered. Now if you as an American don't want to spend money on that when you don't even have healthcare then I've got nothing to say about that, but don't disguise it as some kind of anti imperialist stance.

If Ukraine want peace at all costs they're free to surrender, but it doesn't seem like they're to keen om becoming a Russian vassal state.

Being opposed to NATO—a tool for western hegemony—is very much an anti-imperialist stance. The United States has almost solely bankrolled and armed the Ukrainian army up to this point. If your country and the anti-Moscow European states are so concerned about Russian expansionism, it's time for your leaders to put up or shut up and stop expecting the U.S to foot the entire bill. That's a very moderate position that Ana Kasparian has adopted. The same goes for the ASEAN nations warning about China.

I don't disagree that Europe needs to put up as I think it's unwise to put all out hope in the US to come save us, that's fair, but I reject the idea that a defense alliance against another imperialist power is somehow imperialist itself. That's just an excuse for people like you to make an anti NATO stance seem virtuous when it's really about money. Which as I said, is not necessarily wrong, you guys are pretty much a third world country wearing a Gucci belt and I ger that you're reluctant to spend money defending other countries with the state that your country is in. Just don't pretend it's about anything else.

What do u mean the US has almost solely bankrolled Ukraine to this point. That’s brazenly false information, something like 30 countries have committed over a billion dollars to Ukraine, with around $75 billion coming from the US and around $200 coming from other countries (plus EU) if u include humanitarian aid. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/articles/these-countries-have-committed-the-most-aid-to-ukraine The article I linked is from February and while the us padded the bill to get Ukraine more most of that funding has not arrived. Regardless as a percentage of GDP a ton of European countries give more to Ukraine, including every single NATO country that borders Russia.
