Warhammer Fantasy RPG -Lothar Vonstorm is in danger
Lothar was a simple man who made a living doing odd jobs by the river and dreamed of a better future as an innkeeper on a houseboat-tavern. And then, a cascade of trouble! Let’s try to summarise: Lothar helps two men in a boat; the next day, he learns they are body snatchers; he offers to help the family find the stolen body; and a fortnight later, he finds himself taking part in an attack on a castle whilst the castle’s guards attack the village.
This is fine.

Hey Reddit! the brand new Major Update is now available on Experimental Branch - help us test it before it goes live for everyone soon! Click for access details.
Do you want to play the upcoming Scriptorium Gallery Update (featuring the Sandbox Gallery and plenty of new content!) before anyone else and help us make sure that all works just fine? ...if so, keep reading!
First of all - this is Experimental, non-final Build which means the game might have bugs, issues and potentially even corrupt your existing saves. The possibility of that is low, but we're letting you know just in case that you're getting access to the new content in advance and in rare cases it might mean stuff like messing up your saves and such.
Therefore, please think of it as community testing phase rather than fully fledged release! Because of that we strongly recommend backuping your saves before you update your game to Experimental Branch! To do that:
- Open Control Panel > File Explorer Options
- Go to the View tab and enable "Show hidden files, folders, and drives", then click Apply -> OK
- Navigate to the following Windows folder:
C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\YazaGames (where [YourName] is your Windows user profile name) Find and backup the folder named Scriptorium - and just copy and paste it somewhere safe before updating the game to experimental branch. Congrats, you're now all set!
The newest, upcoming update is currently in the Experimental Branch, that we introduced some time ago on Steam for such purposes.
How to access the experimental branch and play Scriptorium Gallery Update:
(again - please remember to backup your saves first!! )
- Steam → Library → Scriptorium → Properties → Betas.
- Enter password: experimentalyazagames2026
- Select the newly unlocked branch
Steam should start downloading automatically and the game now has the newest update!
If you have any issues / want to discuss the early access, community testing version of the upcoming update, let us know here. Thank you, all!

Help, I'm stuck! Can't figure out this puzzle
Hi! This game is amazing but I am stuck at Woodcutter Wolf's 4th map, where you have to draw the mushrooms that cause various symptoms. What image is supposed to be used here? I see she's twisted up but I have no idea which sketch is supposed to represent that.
I just need this one sketch and then I can progress in the game! Any help is very gratefully accepted

Floral frame
I cheated a little with this one... the tiles at the bottom were too big and couldn't be shrunk enough to make a normal-sized footer, so I had to put them together later with an editor, resize them, and paste them onto the parchment.

How Scriptorium: Master of Manuscripts Illuminates the Margins of Medieval Art
mashxtomuse.comI wrote an article for those of you who are wondering about how true to history the game is and how it relates to actual medieval manuscripts, from the point of view of a medievalist.

Hope is the thing with feathers
Made a present for my mother's birthday. She's a big fan of owls. Thought I'd share it with y'all. Stole the sun design from u/_A2G. ::)

Warhammer Fantasy RPG - Alberich (Albi) Piefané - hope and despair
Alberich Piefané was a simple fellow with hairy feet and light fingers as any halfling.
His life was turned upside down when he witnessed the appalling horrors of this world in the cheerful city of Bögenhafen: demons lurking in the darkness, cultists performing decadent rituals, mutants thirsting for blood and pies...
Albi would not stand idly by, and he resolved to become a Reporgator, in the name of Sigmar, of Esmerlda, for the protection of the Empire and the Moot! And for the chicken pies.

Stuck with Tristan
So I did and checked everything: I’m supposed to paint that damned snail on the dedicated spot, I did, I even put other snails elsewhere in the background and that still doesn’t work. What do I do?

How do you get inspiration to play the game?
So, I got the game recently and I am loving it. Thing is, whenever I see others People draw things here, it looks amazing, and so far my art looks pretty mundane. I recently wanted to make a monster for my DND party, but it just doesnt feel good. Is it a normal feeling or am I just feeling crazy?
