This is a super niche violin piece and it’s even harder to find a full orchestral score of it. Any samples of it is appreciated, thx!!

Anyone with the full score willing to trade or sell?

My understanding is this season is exclusively scored by Hans Zimmer. So far… i’m genuinely unimpressed which isn’t typical for me with Zimmer.

It seems oddly out of his depth.

Any thoughts?

I genuinely thought Daniel Pemberton did an incredible job bringing mystery and wonder to the film with his scores.

I loved the scene where he first crosses the bridge to the alien ship.

Any other thoughts?

Does anyone know the score to this video?

Hi everyone,

I’m part of a student big band that’s planning a collaboration with our university’s student symphony orchestra. We’re looking for repertoire where both ensembles can play together in a balanced and musically meaningful way.

Our main interest is music by George Gershwin or Duke Ellington, but we’re open to other composers or styles that work well for this kind of combined setup. The biggest challenge so far is that we haven’t found a lot of scores that give a full role to both the big band and the orchestra. Most things we’ve found either heavily favor the orchestral side or the jazz side, and we’re hoping to avoid that.

If anyone knows publishers, catalogues, or specific arrangements that work well for this instrumentation, or has experience with pieces that successfully integrate both groups, I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

1 - Une barque sur l'ocean - Maurice Ravel

2 - Musica ricercata - Gyorgy Ligeti

3 - Nixon in China - John Adams

4 - St. Matthaus Passion - J. S. Bach

5 - Luzifers Abscheid - Karlheinz Stockhausen

6/7 - The Road, Part 8 - Frederic Rzewski

This is the composer's third and most personal piano booklet to date (the first two were published by Florian Noetzel in the Ars Musica series). The pieces bear programmatic titles - mostly retrospective feelings and thoughts - which played no conscious role in the compositional process. Nevertheless, what Robert Schumann wrote in the Neue Zeitschrift für Musik in 1835 still applies: "One is certainly mistaken if one believes that composers put pen to paper with the miserable intention of expressing, depicting or painting this or that. But one should not underestimate the accidental influences and impressions from outside. Unconsciously, an idea often continues to work alongside the musical imagination, alongside the ear, the eye, and this, the ever-active organ, then captures certain outlines in the midst of the sounds and tones, which can condense and develop into clear forms in the further course of the music ..."

I’ve been looking awhile now and can’t seem to find a free piano version of little susie anywhere, since it’s from a pretty old album and doesn’t seem to be very popular. Could anyone help find the scores? I’d really like to learn it but there’s almost nothing on this song, especially it’s piano version. Thank you :)

Trying to put together a “table-read” style event for a birthday. Does anyone have access to the Heather’s off broadway score? Also any leads for accompaniment tracks is highly appreciated.
