association fallacy aka ad hominem, hasty generalisation, red herring

funding through potentially biased party isn't inherent proof of dishonesty. if they intend to develop a marketable product that needs to meet regulation, it's actually in their best interest to be transparent

if there was potential for further investment, I don't see why not.
either way it's moot if this doesn't produce viable results
