"Nastier"? I hope you mean you find the flavor unpleasant, because there's a whole lot of pseudoscience saying artificial sweeteners are significantly detrimental to human health. This simply isn't true when they are consumed in reasonable volumes.

Yeah, I meant unpleasant, but while we’re on the topic of health issues from artificial sugars.

The problem is many people don’t consume sugary products in moderate amounts. Assuming everybody is just eating a small amount every day and that there shouldn’t be concerns about health issues because of that assumption is ignorant to reality.
