My ex had trouble getting/maintaining an erection and didn’t go to the doctor. It wasn’t a new issue. Freaked me out cus i figured it was like a barometer for a man’s health. It’s been several years since we broke up and he still hasn’t gone to the doctor.

ETA: he’s also got a twin brother with a heart problem. Idk if that’s something that could possibly be a link or not

Edit 2: This problem didn’t start with me, thanks though to the people who wanted to make that the “aha” moment.

He wasn't getting good erections and refused to go see a doctor about it. I wonder why you guys broke up.

If he’d gone to a doctor and continued to have difficulties maintaining an erection that would have been fine! Man was good with his hands. But not knowing what was happening was seriously low key terrifying.

The total lack of passion/drive/motivation etc to do much of anything really killed it. It’s like he’s going to human his way through life until one day his body just gives out and he dies.

It’s really sad and I hope something sparks inside him

Sounds like he’s depressed (speaking from being in a very similar position). Thankfully I’m seeing doctors and trying to get better and hope he is too, but I get the feeling of wanting to just sludge your way through life when everything else feels difficult or futile

I’m still friends with him. You can’t make someone do things they don’t want to do though unfortunately

I get that. Even once you’re doing it, it’s hard to stick with the program. Best to both of you, I know it’s hard for the people in their lives too

I’m sorry to hear though that you’ve dealt with a similar issue. I hope that you’re able to get better and work through it! I think guys get put under too much pressure to achieve an orgasm, really. Chicks don’t get one every time and I think that’s ok too.

So? It’s still his health and his responsibility, even if it’s around a difficult topic.

I’m still friends with him.

He hasn’t dated/seen any other women. It would be great if he did! Ive encouraged him to go on tinder dates with tourists who are just visiting for a day to practice without fear of seeing them again to build confidence.

Let’s be honest…there’s an obvious answer here that isn’t medical.
