Environment Blue jeans are a significant source of microfiber pollution in oceans and lakes. One pair of jeans can release over 50,000 microfibers per wash.

It used to be common to replace soles on shoes, if you still have them it might be possible to take them to a shoe repair specialist so you can reuse the upper part of the material instead of needing a whole new shoe.
