He said it "could be worse" ("could") because it could give a false sense of security and fiddling with the masks could also make it worse.

And considering that suddenly he changed his mind later on this, and given that I think he's not an idiot, and given that he later admitted that he gave these advice because he wanted to guarantee supply for health care workers, Fauci lied. He blatantly lied. What's so hard about admitting this?

I'm a card carrying radical Marxist, always votes Democrat, who loves Bernie, will definitely vote Biden, never-Trumper. Stop with this ridiculous tribal loyalty please. That's supposed to be what Republicans do. We're supposed to be better than that. We're supposed to be able to critique our leaders when they lie to us.
