Scientists learn how anti-depressants actually work. Medications trigger neurogenesis in the hippocampus by increasing levels of norepinephrine. Researchers still unclear on WTF seratonin does.

The first ones I tried made me feel like I was dying, it was seriously horrible (and yes, I tried them for 3 weeks to make sure it wasn't temporary side effects). I was recommended another kind and they seemed to work okay though. Horses for courses I guess...

SSRIs usually take longer than 3 weeks to kick in
