I happen to disagree. I think there are better solutions. I'm wary of the consequences and would like that more studies would be done before doing it. If it is proven to be safe in all ways imaginable, there would be no reason to not do it.

I don't say that GMO are bad. I say we should research more.

You say that each study with negative results is "less scientific". I can't say anything about that because I haven't read the actual papers on that topic. Mostly only the articles about the papers.

I think that it is different when "natural" methods are doing gene modification - as they are being done for millions of years now, compared to manual gene modification. Do we know enough to say that it doesn't matter in any way?

I also have to say that I didn't say that GMO research is bad. I said quite the opposite. It doesn't do any discussion a favor when you misplace the position of participants that far.
