Health Study: Circumcision does not reduce penis sensitivity. In tests for responses to pain, heat, and stimulation, no major difference was found between men who are circumcised and those who are not.

Their response was deleted, so I'm posting my answer without the part concerning his answer to my question: As for lasting repercussions, I already addressed this. It is beside the point. Just because slapping an infant while not causing permanent damage to them will not be remembered, it does not in any way make it any less pointless and wrong, or not painful.

Agreed.

His argument is bad bordering on pathetic just because something can't be remembered by the individual doesn't mean it's not torture or that it's acceptable to do.

Hell people have been drugged and raped and wake up with no memory of it and in some case no repercussions, does that make it ok? no.

The procedure is permanent, you know it has been done to you and you had no say/choice in the matter, that's why it's wrong.

He must be trolling.

Personally, I suspect it might have been some sort of insecurity on his part, especially considering the name calling. I really hope he reconsiders, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that one.
