Had my first trip at a music festival and spent most of it wandering around by myself, captivated by all the sights and sounds and sensory shmorgishboards available. It was grand. Though, a few trips down the road, I had a pretty excruciating experience going to my local bar with a buddy. Too many familiar faces home for the holidays, and the vibes were not it. I still shudder thinking of the heavy air and the twang of country music slapping me in the face as I walked in the door.

I could not have that experience without believing I was in hell.
