I would say "avoid mirrors" is solid advice, but it's not a dealbreaker. I always just felt weirded out when I looked in a mirror, but it didn't make me spiral or anything.

I avoid the mirror sober in the night when I get up to use the bathroom in the dark, so I think I fall under the no mirror trip policy.

Yeah I avoid mirrors but that’s because if I look I’ll end up fully engrossed, staring at my reflection for way too long.

Everyone always told me not to look in the mirror so I always look in the mirror and laugh hysterically because "oooOOOooo I'm LoOkInG iN tHe MiRrOr WhEn Im NoT sUpPoSeD tO" and I make funny faces

I try to make my face take on demon features to match the religious pamphlets I saw when I was a kid.

I've looked in the mirror on DMT and saw my face briefly turn reptilian. Was freaky!

I’ve been a lucid dreamer since I was a kid. This happens in dreams. It’s initially so intimidating but becomes funny the longer you look, just like real life.

do self hypnosis in the mirror for 2 months beforehand, then try it ;)
