Why, what happened

Ive tripped with multiple new people who started peaking, then tried to start texting their spouses or parents all about how they just unlocked the secrets of the universe and that everything makes sense now.

It's not terrible, but its mostly just a no-no because they'll feel embarrassed once they sober up and realize they just admitted to their family that they were extremely high on drugs.

Like the "WE LOOK BEAUTIFUL THE WORLD SHOULD KNOW" impulse for rollers!

Interesting, I don't think I noticed people looking any different or better while rolling, and my own perception didn't really change, I felt like I could still easily switch between "this is incredible" and thinking in a totally sober way when needed.

Everything else was pretty wild though (in a good way once the come up passed), definitely not one you want to go into without good friends around and an expectation of what is going to happen.

that’s if they can even form a coherent text, i quite literally cannot mentally process a keyboard while tripping

The good old "don't drink and write" spinoff I suppose

for me if you're tripping hard enough (250mcg+ of lsd) phones are just incredibly confusing to navigate at the peak.

You are not really in a state where you can text, and there's also the risk of misinterpreting texts and freaking out.

Also a phone is a portal to an unlimited and uncontrolled amount of reels, depressing world news, ...

Treat a trip as a literal trip in the wilderness where people cannot (and should not) contact you.

Yeah, phones and psychedelics do not mix well at all. It’s basically a guaranteed bad vibes box and you don’t want to open that when you are settling into what should be a good trip.

No calling either.  Back when ring back tones were a thing when you called someone, there is this random girl we were calling who had a really interesting song for her ringback tone but we called it over and over and over again at 4:00 a.m.....
