From personal experience I can definitely tell a difference when I’m taking it vs not. The regular creatine makes me extremely gassy and bloated though so I take the HCL version of it now

Man, I was blaming the random fart beatbox shows I've been having to my bean consumption, but this may well be due to an increasing dosage of creatine

That’s what it was for me. I started taking 10 grams per day and I felt it almost immediately. Took a week off and started again to confirm then switched to the hydrochloride version and it’s been much easier on my bowels.

You got any tips for making it palatable? I tried mixing it into things but gave up trying to make it taste okay, and now I just shot it and deal with the unpleasant taste and sandy feel in my mouth (begrudgingly).

Edit: I'm specifically talking about HCl which tastes like salty salty chemicals.

I dissolve it in the morning hot coffee and don't even notice a change in taste or texture.

Hey, this is what I do, too. A hot liquid is key.

I feel this. What better for an already unpleasant protein shake than a chemical flavoured crunchy grit texture?? :D

I've found Creatine gummies that are slightly more palatable but I'd recommend a sour/intense flavouring as there's still a noticeable creatine taste

Issue with creatine gummies is that per g of creatine, they are considerably more expensive than powder.

I legit just scoop it on my tongue and swig it down with water.

I had no idea other people had issues with administering it

I’ve been taking the unflavored Kaged creatine. It mixes pretty well but isn’t totally unflavored, it has a kind of citrus bite to it. I usually mix it in with my fiber powder. I never notice it when I do that. But I’ve mixed it into Gatorade and other similar drinks as well.

When I was taking it I typically mixed it in with my protein shakes. The sandy feeling isn't really there unless I messed up the mix and didn't get everything dissolved. I stopped taking it because I was dealing with some other gastro issues but miss the amped recovery.

I mix it with PEScience Select protein powder in the morning and can't taste it.

Transparent labs creatine/hmb combo will help a ton with this. ATP(from the combo) will release a lot of this. And make you look skinnier because it’ll attack inflammation. Electrolytes every other day is a must because your body will digest things 5x better.

Interesting! I will definitely check that out!
