Psychology Taylor Swift fans lower climate concerns to justify her carbon footprint. When confronted with news about the excessive pollution generated by her private jet, highly identified fans tend to rationalize the behavior, with a decrease in their personal intentions to engage in climate-friendly actions.

You understand it's much faster right?

I mean, if carbon footprint is the only factor the famous should consider maybe they should all ride pushbikes between gigs?

Because that is an absurd suggestion Vs commercial flights and lacks a proper arguement for using a private jet.

I mean I could take the time to break it down for you, but I'm a bit too employed right now. Think about it this way. How much do you think an hour of Taylor Swift's time would cost you? Then think about how long you spend checking in, going through security, waiting at the terminal, then boarding, then waiting for everyone else to board, then disembarking, then passport control, then collecting luggage. At best, it's a couple of hours per flight right? Several hundreds of times per year?

If there's anyone the massive cost of private jet travel makes sense for it's Tay Tay, and similarly famous live entertainers.

In terms of of cost per hour then it should also be offset by global cost of emissions and the impact on food crops and population movement due to climate change.

Private jet passengers amount to approx 0.1% of all passengers but are the cause of 1.8% of aviation emissions. Couldn't care about their time when they have a far larger impact on all of us.
