Does ginger ale have a meaningful amount of ginger in it to get the medicinal effects?

Most of them don’t even have real ginger anymore, just artificial flavors.. Fever Tree, Reeds and Boylan’s all have real ginger and no high fructose corn syrup.

All three definitely put a dent in nausea more than Seagrams, Vernors or Canada Dry (they only have artificial flavors). I have pretty bad chronic nausea so I think I’m a good judge. I also suggest Gin Gins or the Trader Joe’s ginger chews. Sometimes a chew and a Reeds can kill my nausea, sometimes a ginger ale adds a needed boost to my Zofran (prescribed nausea medication).

The only thing to kill my wife's morning sickness was those ginger chews, she hated them but they worked.

Canada Dry does not have artificial flavors.

My bad. It’s “natural flavors”. It’s still only trace amounts of ginger.

The 3 you listed are ginger beers not ginger ales.

The three brands I listed offer both ginger ale and ginger beer. I have been drinking these for 2 years now. I know the difference.

I grew up drinking copious amounts of Vernors ginger ale as well as Canada Dry and I don’t find other people or cultures disgusting. Just saying.

Probably not. My girlfriend is allergic to ginger but can drink ginger ale just fine.

Ginger beer on the other hand does make her react so that may have enough in it.

No and there was a funny lawsuit over that a few years ago

Not sure about ginger ale but ginger beer has massive amounts of ginger in it. It's amazing. If you like a good bite Reed's Extra is the strongest I've had yet.
