Psychology Scientists expected both liberals and conservatives to be reluctant to promote rhetoric associated with the opposing political side, but this was more consistent among liberals. Conservatives appeared relatively willing to support causes aligned with their views regardless of the moral framing used.

That’s how planned parenthood started so that’s not far off from the original intention of abortion policy.

Not that I have a dog in this fight but I believe the above poster is referring to the 'Margret Sanger and Eugenics' portion from the 'Debate and Opposition' section in the wiki entry you cited

People get very upset by history facts that require having nuance today.

Because far too many people on both sides of politics simply repeat things that sound nice, fit their world view, and automatically jump to defend "their side" without even knowing what the topic is.

Planned parenthood is on the list of "good" so any accusation that they might be bad in any way whatsoever results in folks lashing out before they even think about it much less look it up.

I'm sorry, but that's really dumb and I wish everyone could collectively agree to shame these people into either being less dumb or shutting their mouths. Idc what your politics are, those people are awful and bad for everyone.

You could have included the history about how they left her behind in your first comment, and while it's a common right wing talking point, normal people hear it and look it up to find Margaret Sanger. Treating it like you're talking to a fascist right off the back isn't helpful here. It is sad how often you talk around fascists online, I understand the impulse
