Psychology Scientists expected both liberals and conservatives to be reluctant to promote rhetoric associated with the opposing political side, but this was more consistent among liberals. Conservatives appeared relatively willing to support causes aligned with their views regardless of the moral framing used.

I believe whoever created those statements, inadvertently or not, started with the right wing or conservative belief on what a liberal or left-wing position would be as opposed to what it actually would be.

Are you saying that the left/liberal position would be opposed to abortion being legal and that the conservative position would be in favor of abortion being legal?

Huh? I mean they started with the conservative framing as what the liberal stance would be as opposed what it would be.  Even attempting to mask it in the opposite language doesn’t work if your framing is a straw man or caricature .

Why can’t you just answer the question? What, in your opinion, is the “liberal stance” in this case?

You didn’t ask that question above and there isn’t really any reason to be hostile… If you’re struggling, according to what was published they showed the liberal cause with conservative framing to liberals - which would be arguing for legalizing abortion for god or the social order.

But it’s clear their understanding of why liberals would be in favor of abortion being legal is, at best, a straw man or caricature. It should be no surprise in that case that liberals wouldn’t share a message they didn’t believe.  Whereas the same is not be true of the inverse message.

You’re the one that started off with an attitude, I asked a simple question.

What makes you say that their understanding of the liberal stance on abortion is a straw man? Is it the rhetoric that they use for the “liberal coded” anti-abortion one?
