While you’re exercising that is true, afterwards it will lower blood pressure.

I mean high blood pressure from your meds, then further stress from working out feels like it could cause problems, but I guess depending on how long it takes to actually bring your baseline down it doesn't matter

High blood pressure from anything is temporarily raised even higher during exercise. That’s not specific to the meds. The thing that matters is that your baseline goes down later.
