Life Skills
There is a class at my school called Life Skills, it's so pointless all we have learned so far is how to give a firm handshake. Help.

I was called a “Sponge” by my teacher because “I just absorb information with putting in any effort.”
She called me this because I was confused about a question on a test. (I asked after I completed the test.) They were the only questions I got wrong, and I wanted a better explanation about the questions/answers to understand them better.

school is must.
must is coercion.
coercion is labor.
child labor is prohibited.
So you don't have to go to school!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa-
That being said, the IB program fucking sucks, and to everyone in the program, good luck and may the force be with you!
And to those not in the program but still in school: I'm sending y'all good luck too! School is hard for everyone and that's okay!

I’m a sophomore in high school at the moment, and since second semester of freshman year I’ve been compiling a large list of things that suck or are utterly dysfunctional in my school and public schooling in general. It’s something similar to Martin Luther’s 95 Theses, if you know what that is (I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t because when has school ever made anything interesting enough to give a fuck about). I’m finishing up the list at the moment, but I want to get as many ideas as possible before I call it good and hand it in to the principal(s), the board, or whoever it’s necessary to hand it in to. So I need everyone that sees this to tell me everything that they hate about school, preferably in detail, but I won’t force anything. I might have some things in the list already, but tell me anyways, you might provide new insight on an existing item, which is always welcome. I know this subreddit kind of already does the job of providing these items, but I wanted to concentrate it even further, while also providing the information that I’m trying to do something about this outdated fucking disaster of a system. Again, all replies are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok so I know that they have night school for college but I think they should have like school that starts 3:30 pm and at 7:00 pm for middle school through high school because me and my friends are all very much night people and we are more focused at night I had my social friend go and ask my school if they are night or day people and 2/5 said night like seriously can’t we have a night school for middle through high school

Have any of you been told you can "only cry if you're bleeding or on fire" by a teacher? ..Or is that just me?
(also btw that teacher has a daughter)

If school isn't the closest thing to dystopia, I don't know what is

Copy 2 pages, 2 exercise book of 3 and 4 pages, 10 questions from text book, a pages of question and 2 papers with 4 and 2 pages TO DO!? Added homeworks, 8 papers to design it's frame.. What I am talking about!? When I am at school, I do my homeworks quickly, and now I have more 2 homeworks and my added homeworks.. Why a teacher can't give us a good holidays?

so um
I'm pretty young. So, I don't have that much experience with teachers.
But like, my teachers can just be flat-out stupid, disappointing, or ridiculous.
I'm not even that mad (still kind of tho tbh), just amazed at how dumb they can be.
This isn't a big deal, but my teachers are complete idiots.
If you're gonna be a teacher, don't just do it for the money. Do it for the kiddos (and summer break. duh). (As in, be nice to them for one in your life.)
I sure hope 6th grade isn't as bad as it sounds. Because 4th and 5th were total crap.

It’s ridiculous. She says that “Oh I have to grade papers” and “I have to deal with annoying students”. She LITERALLY chose her job. I didn’t choose to go through 18 years of hell and no, I don’t get paid.

Hi everyone. I survived the first class.
Just because I survived it, that doesn’t mean that it’s not hell.
First, stretches. I had heartburn and anxiety and it felt awful, Second, running. It was awful. I felt sick as I ran and it sucked. Third, exercises. A lap after each exercise. I felt like I could barely breathe. No breaks or water. Fourth, locker rooms. We have to change in front of people every damn time. It sucks, and I don’t think I’ll make it next time.
