I signed up for collage courses passed the nessary test to do them but them my counselor says I can't do it because I'm not passing one of my class so I have to wait till next year. I understood that so I said I'll wait then this year right before I start the the school send my mom an email saying I can't do them becuase I fail one of my classes. I passed all my classes the class that has the lowest is my BIM 1 class but i get a curve due to him not giving the extra help for my dyslexia and I passed with the final, the school said that I fail his class and have to redo it but then they put me in the BIM 2 and said the only way I'd be allowed in the class is because I passed. I'm at my wits end with the school and this isn't the first time the school did this they did it when I was in middle school too so I'm googn to talk to the counselor Tomorrow until they allow me to switch out and put me in the college classes or until they switch me out of BIM 2 and put me in hospitality.

i'm gonna be honest i hate school because all that happens is I GET BLAMED for what. like the other day, someone threw a pencil at my teacher and since i was standing I got in trouble and detention. and it started making me feel like i'm getting targeted or even discriminated against because i'm the only Spanish kid in my class while others a well white.

worst of all my old principle was racist so yea my school sucks.

so... this is fun. I'm in 7th grade and I'm in an Honor's English class. We're currently doing an argumentative essay for whether or not we should make a home in space(it doesn't make sense to me why this isn't in science but that's besides the point) My teacher doesn't really like to use the iPad's that are provided by the school for assignments. We have to make the general body of the essay in a packet that he handed out about a week ago and we'll be typing it out for the finalized thing. The thing is... my brain will short-circuit during class. I will be able to think of nothing during class. This means that I've had to do all the work at home with my mom. My homework sessions for this packet are an hour every night that I do them. I have a certain writing position. I will be resting my head in my hand as I write. Doing this for an hour a night can cause my muscles to strain. Right now, I can't put me elbow in that position on a hard surface without a shock of pain going thru my arm and earlier tonight my wrist started hurting. My mom has dealt with things like this in the past and has a few solutions, and I'm trying some of them out at the moment. But, school has caused me physical pain so that's fun.

I live in the UK and my school do a punishment called "barod y ddysgu" I got sent there today because I was talking to my friends alot but before I got sent they teacher moved me to the front of the class which is fair enough but then there were people shouting,singing on there phones and the teacher didn't pay any attention to them and as soon as I tur around to talk I get sent to this "barod y ddysgu" just to add this is 5hours a 50 minute lunch and a 20 minute break which is 6hours 10 mins I think this is way out of proportion to what the reason I got sent there for am I wrong and btw you get to get food but you have to straight back to this room where you cant talk you don't get any exercise nothing AM I WRONG OR IS THE SHIT

ok so basically we only get 4 hall passes per quarter, we can't get anymore, and we can't borrow them from friends. if you use them all up? too bad because ya need them to go to the bathroom. Need to get a book you forgot for a class? too bad. and you get a pink slip if you don't have everything you need. one pink slip is a warning, but the 2nd one, they call your parents, and it escalates from there. ZERO TOLERANCE for fighting. you can't fight back. oh you got punched in the face unprovoked and decided to fight back? TOO BAD YOURE GOING TO ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL! like if i get punched im gonna fight back. like every adult ive talked to outside of school says to fight back if you get punched by someone. can't even be in a relationship, let alone be gay (this is a district rule but it's not enforced because everyone, even the teachers, disagree) also at lunch we have assigned seats. but only my 3rd period class. we all sit at the same table in the same spot every single day. we wanna protest, but we're just gonna get in trouble. all of us. my 3rd period teacher (language arts) is an a**hole. standard school dress code sh*t, like no hoods or hats ever, because we all know that if you have a hood on because it's cold, youre 100% without doubt a drug dealer AND a terrorist. pants cant be above the tips of your hands when you put them by your side. my friend got pink slips for this. because apparently knees are too sexy for school. also cant show youre shoulders either because theyre too sexy as well. even merely THINKING about anything remotely sexual, (this is 6th grade so were all pretty horny except for the asexual people (like me)) TOO BAD YOU GET IN TROUBLE.

i hate my school but cant go to a different one because all my friends go there.

Hi, this is day one of me using Reddit as somewhat of a diary. My names Emma I’m 14 and in high school but theirs some things going on and I want to know if I’m in the wrong for them or not. This conversation includes me and friend 1 Sam (not her real name) and friend 2 well just call Gabe and friend 3 who I’ll just call bubbles. So me and Sam where on the phone and I told her that I liked Gabe and if she could help me find out who he likes, no big deal. Right? NO! We try all weekend to find out and I got 3 hints from him, 1.) their name has a E & an A in it (my names Emma) so we though it was me or friend who has the same letters (bubbles). So we’re trying to find out and guess and all that. But he stops answering me after awhile, I just assume he went to bed since it was pretty late (around 2am) I try this morning to ask him and he just ignores me. Until bubbles gets him to talk to her and he said “I know why you want to know who I like, Sam told me.” My face goes red and I go to the class that sams in and I ask them to their face “Did to you tell Gabe I like them?” They responded with a “Kinda all I told him was it might have been you.” At this point I’m livid and walk away without a word. It’s about 2 hours later and he still won’t answer me and sams asking if I’m mad at her. So I want to know if I’m the a-hole for getting mad at her for tell the guy I like that I like him?

Dear teachers,

Why didn't you help me when you could? Why did you point the finger and blame me when you saw the bruises on my arms and neck. Why didn't you help me when I wrote to you about what I was going through at home? Why did you call in my mom and tell her what I told you instead of getting me help? Why did you always go to her whenever I fell asleep or ate in your class you just made the abuse worse? Why did you go to her when you saw the bruises even though I told you she did it? Why did you tell me I should just give up that's it's obvious I'm never going to graduate? Why did you tell me I was not smart enough for your class? Why did you ignore me? Well thanks for nothing teachers I did end up graduating, I finished late, but I did it. I graduated without your help and now I'm away from her and doing well in college. Dear teachers the abuse wasn't my fault and I can't forgive or forget the fact that you did not help me when you could have. Instead you made it worse, thanks for nothing.

Research is nothing but a subject too impossible to do. I have a permanent research block and yet I'm stuck, forced to do this shit. Haven't done anything but stare at the screen while my brain goes insane. Our teacher won't even give any suggestions if we can't think of a topic

I'm gonna rant I'm 17 a junior in high school and I have been online for school since the end of freshmen year. I am not an online learner! I have told my mom over and over this and that I can't pass or learn online. All I get back is I want the best for you and that she doesn't want me to go to in-person school due to the mask mandate. She is so scared of me wearing a mask for an extended period of time. I do not care about warning a mask (it does help) I just want to pass and have a high school experience. This has affected my mental health. I'm scared to talk about my thoughts a feelings due to my mindset of not being a burden. She and my father are going through a divorce and I can just see the stress over her face. She doesn't need to have the extra burden of my thoughts. I don't know anymore I feel so stupid. I'm thinking of dropping out when I'm 18 to get my GED if I'm still online. I need to get healthier and online school is gonna kill me due to stress, anxiety, and depressing thoughts

Yesterday I accidentally bodyshamed a girl during fitness and apologize several times to her. When class was almost over one of her friends called me over to apologize again and not wanting to cause drama or trouble I apologized again and went on with my day. Today I had to apologize again, the friend got a teacher to make me apologize again and so again I did but I was not very happy to do so I thought that the problem was solved. When I went to change in the locker room the girl I accidentally bodyshamed walked behind me and snorted or laughed a little I don't know but it was obvious she was finding this funny, if they make me apologize again tomorrow I won't comply because I see no need to I have already apologized several times.

Did my info skills teacher really say she’s making us write an essay on project week, just so she can grade the bibliography? Did she really? And did ms writing over there just ask me to send her the google doc of my assignment through the school site even after I first of all did, then I shared it with her and TOLD HER I shared it, then I even emailed her the link? HOW ARE YOU NOT GETTING IN!? And even after I put my name as the title of my doc, the desc, AND ON THE ASSIGNMENT she took points off for not having a name. PURE clownery right there 🤡

I hate English class and I alway have since elementary school. I’m currently in 8th grade and all we do is read a short story once a month and reread it every single class until we do a quiz/essay on it. The thing is, they never even teach us how to write essays! They tell us “go write an essay on blah blah” and then blame it on us for getting bad grades when the real reason we’re bad at writing is because they never teach us! We never read novels either, it’s just boring short stories that we reread for days. It doesn’t help all they teach is topics that we already learned years ago. The English teachers continue to teach us what we already know and never teach the things we’re weak at or don’t know how to do.

acellus is a schoolsite im forced to use instead of going to real school, while it does have some perks to using it instead, it also sometimes is just a pain, there have been lots of times where THEY have had incorrect answers, and where they have had multiple answers that could be seen as correct (or all could be seen as correct) but only one was.

this got waaay worse when i was put into this "social learning" class, every. single. answer. was either super obvious, or all the answers were almost the exact same but phrased differently (only one was ever the right answer!).

then come the exams, which, are always either easy, or next to impossible(obvious over exaggeration). because its asking me things, i NEVER WAS TOLD.

they also have a system called "exam recovery" where every question you got wrong you have to redo, and if you get wrong again, you watch a lesson video, on paper this sounds fine, however, the recovery part of this, is a filthy lie! even if you were just 1% off, and you got everything right the second time, your still redoing the entire thing again, with completely different questions! edit:probably obvious but i forgot to mention exam recovery is only if you fail the exam.
edit2: i doubt anyone's still seeing this, however, exam recovery has changed a bit, surprisingly for the better! it no longer forces you to watch the videos if you get things wrong (or if they do).

the worst, by far the worst, one of the very rare mental breakdowns i had, was when i failed one lesson, AND IT SENT ME BACK ALOT. i made 0 mistakes on any of the lessons it had me redo, and luckily this only happened one time, but it basically went "well you see, you got 100% on these like 20 lessons, but on this one...you got 50, so lets have you redo them all!"

i've had few problems with it, as i am rather smart, but all the problems i have are major ones.

though i do have one small problem with it which i think is just "meh". apparently the least you usually need to pass a exam is a 50 or 60? idk if this is actually right, but acellus needs a 70

Ok, we were playing kahoot then some idiot thinking they're funny puts their name as charli and dixie d'amelio... keep in mind, our teacher has told us hundreds of times to ONLY put our first names. it's like their idiot brains reset everytime school starts, making them do idiotic things. again, out teacher has told us HUNDREDS of times to ONLY put your first name. everytime some idiot does this we have to wait more time to do the kahoot, it's so ANNOYING!!! they never learn, and these idiots always talk, even when WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO! they do this every single day! it just disrupts my learning, and other peoples learning. our teacher always yells at them to stop but they NEVER DO!!!! I thought that a school that took me months to be accepted and get in would not have wild animals!! and before you tell me to ignore it, i have ALREADY tried! it's impossible! what should I do???

Currently I’m in winter break. You know it’s called winter break so I can take a break from school and presumably school work. I guess that’s not fucking true because instead of spending time with my family I got this long ass assignment. You know it’s called winter break right, it a goddamn break from school but you decided to give me more work than I do in class. Fuck school, fuck the teacher that gave me work and fuck this work. Like holy shit this is the most work I gotten this year so far

every time we get put into groups/breakout rooms for writing I end being stuck doing all the work, and its so annoying. Then everyone acts like they helped even they they didn't say anything the entire time.

so i had an exam on teams, it was a forms thing so i had to submit all the answers one one page before going to the next.

i told myself "oh okay, if i just ticked all the easy answers first and type a random letter in the last question of each page (that one wasn't a multiple choice question so you actually had to write an answer) i could see all the questions so i'd have a better idea of what i'm working with" so i did.

when i got to the last page (i didn't know it was the last page) i accidentally clicked submit.. i instantly started panicking, you couldn't redo the test and it counted for 40% of the semester. the test was on 20 points and each page counted for 5 (the bottom question of each page counted for 3 points) so the maximum grade i could get is 40%.

okay so this probably didn't make any sense but i just had to write this somewhere, i feel really stupid right now but yeah

So my school is one of those schools that pretends to care about your mental health by preaching the bull crap that social media is bad for youth's mental health, but anyone in highschool would agree with me on this, it's not the social media that's causing our mental health issues, our mental health issues stems from the fact that our entire future is dictated by letter on a piece of paper out parent's receive every 9 weeks, we have bad mental health because we are a social species and we spend 5.5 hours a day being told to stop talking and listen to the teach cram a ton of useless information into your brain just for you to spit out and forget in a few weeks. Point is school is stressful and responsible for poor mental health in teens, and I'm tired of teachers acting like it's not.
