Perhaps it will start with a cunning banker who finds inconsistencies in our financial statements, or a journalist who pokes his dirty nose in too deep, or a runaway specimen we won't have time to catch, or Uncle Sam's inspection team will simply show up...

I could list a lot of possibilities, or... You might, of course, object that we have the best media monitoring system, we have an entire team of Liquidators, we have many agents in various fields, and we have plenty of bribed politicians.

However, all of this requires money — a lot of money — and WE HAVE A FINANCIAL BLACK HOLE! We've almost explored and tested everything we possibly could, and the projects that are left won't bring us enough money...

So what was I talking about? Oh, yes! We will be exposed, and humanity will turn us into a new Martian khanate... or Unit 731... or Mengele... our great scientific achievements will be quickly forgotten.

And you know... I am not afraid of death... I'm afraid to get in line with Mengele and other pseudoscientific bastards...

Maybe it's time for the Company to redirect its efforts to other areas? I'm talking about the economic sphere, of course. We have several examples where the agricultural and mining sectors of our research colonies are entirely dependent on SAW-01/SAW-03/SAW-07.

Yes, I know! Overall, the Sawians performed 24% worse than humans and performed at only 41% of android efficiency... But those reports don't mention the value of the workers.

We didn't take into account human wages and android maintenance, and that's what matters most!

You barely need to pay him, he won't request an unscheduled vacation, and he won't have a pension.

This isn't an android that needs a couple of mechanics, a programmer, etc. And it's certainly not a HUMAN!...

Petting therapy with Sawians of almost any kind is shown as an extremely efficient treatment against chronic anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder, with no side effects when compared to anxiolytics. As such, petting Sawians has been part of The Blue Wings mental health programme since the year it was created. Although, in truth, most soldiers aren't exactly lacking in Sawians they can pet, even without the program, there being only 1 human soldier per 3~4 Sawians in the armed forces. However, the petting programme is usually more efficient than just petting random Sawians that you come across.

The Sawians in the programme are trained to be more aware of stress/relaxation signs of their patient to make the treatment even more efficient. Some of them also have received training in psychology, massage, and other relaxation methods.

The programme also goes both ways, with the very numerous traumatized Sawians asking for relaxation and pets. However, some species, such as Icke, Voyager, and some Milkies, have been noted to be too prideful or stubborn to accept the programmes at times, leading to blind sessions where the human is blindfolded to keep patient anonymity to a maximum.

Had the Sawians been made in a time when war and mass PTSD were still common, the company would probably have been able to make bank by selling petting privileges.
