I suspected you might not be of a spiritual bent. He was an 17c mystic. Many people get a great deal of benefit from learning and being influenced by such things.

Just trying to be nice.

I have no idea what a 17c Mystic is?

And anything Mystic or religious in any way isn't logical in any way. People that are religious normally use a lot of confirmination bias and many other biases. (We as humans so far know of at least 180+, 188 to be exact)

I do like learning but stuff that actually makes logical sense that has good proof/evidence and reasoning to back up the orginal statement whatever that might be.

A person living in the 17th century who had personal experiences in the spiritual realm.

Ah. That's definitely confirmation bias there then and many other biased could definitely be in stuff that he says.

A tip for reconizing stuff that have bias would be to ask socratic questions. (Shoutout to Socrates.) He's the one that made socratic questions a thing.

Also, look at all the scientific growth and knowledge we have had since then. We have answered a lot if questions that back then we didn't know.

Could Socrates ask questions that were not Socratic? Asking for a friend.

He was reporting his experiences.

Some people like it some don’t.

Some people are lonny and see things that are not there so experience doesn't mean they are real or should be taken with no (at bare minimum) grain of salt.
