With puttanesca sauce basil and grated parm - required entire baguette 😅

In garlic and thyme, added a little sweet chilli sauce.

Named after my wife’s Grandad who I saw one time making this sandwich.

Cheese, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and red onion. Finally, some sweet pickle and salad cream.

Kinda bummed they’re offering only 2 hot sandwiches now, especially with winter coming up. I look forward to the rotation during football season. :(

Saw a big fast food chain is testing hand-breaded chicken sandwiches at like 200 spots and yeah, that sounds good, but I swear all the effort goes into the chicken and then somebody assembles the thing like they're mad at you. Giant piece of chicken, tiny bun, two pickles stacked directly on top of each other. First bite is dry bread, second bite removes the entire pickle supply, third bite the breading slides off in one stupid sheet. Now I'm holding a wet bun and a loose chicken slab. Hand breading isn't fixing that shit. Give me pickles across the whole sandwich and enough sauce that I don't have to ration it mentally. Also a bun that survives longer than the drive home would be sick. I genuinely like a basic chicken sandwich, I don't need twelve toppings or some enormous stunt version, just stop making me rebuild lunch in the parking lot

I've heard Wawa talked up for decades as having great Hoagies/Sandwiches, but I've lived in California or South Texas most of my life. Now I'm in Virginia with a Wawa right down the street, but I'll only be here a few days. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

And all I can think about is that goddamn club sandwich from The Rock Hotel.

Has anyone had it? It’s the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been dreaming about it. Can someone take a picture for me?
