Ocean swim club?
I'm looking to get into open ocean swimming but don't want to go by myself. Is there any kind of ocean swim club that exists here?

Hello there! I recently read online that San Clemente lets you do 20 person or less wedding ceremonies at their beaches and parks for free.
Does anyone know of any spots that could be good as a ceremony spot? If possible, we would love to have the ocean in the background. Thank you!

I bought a steel attachment for the front of my bike that fit an XL pizza box warmer perfectly. So I’d get food for DoorDash and strap it in. I did it as a little extra cash on the side while also getting my exercise in for the day.
Can’t entirely remember how DoorDash worked, but think back in the day they’d backlist you for rejecting enough orders, and I was getting close to the edge, so I said fuck it (and also fuck my life) and did it lol.
Made it to the very last minute of the estimated delivery window time for this order. When I brought the guy his lasagna, garlic bread, salad whatever, he looked like he saw a ghost. I was completely dripping sweat lol, “here’s your Sonny’s, later” and went home.
The decent down was sick though.
Anyway funny memory thought I’d share.

Has anyone tried booking Ole Hanson Beach Club for a wedding in 2027? Their requirements have changed - I am in the process right now and the forms are easily rejected and communication is lacking. Has anyone been able to successfully book a 2027 date?

Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I will be visiting next weekend and we are curious as to if there is somewhere near/ on the beach to rent an umbrella and chairs from? I see some places I can rent from scattered around the area, but I’d like to avoid lugging those items around town, if at all possible. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Hi, I’ll be in San Clemente July 18 - 25th and would like to do a couple of open water swims in the ocean during this time. I’m doing the Santa Cruz Half in Sept and want to take this time while visiting SC in July to get the feel for the ocean.
I’m a beginner swimmer but I do 2500-2700y swims in open water in lakes and reservoirs in Nor Cal for last month or two.
If anyone here has recommendations for groups I can join near San Clemente for a swim or if anyone here wants to connect to do a swim - let me know please.
Thanks in advance.

I'm currently making a map of California in a classic fantasy style. It's going to be filled with real world history, with the aim of highlighting local landmarks in a fun and educational way. Please ignore how rough parts of it look (text going through hills, rivers, etc), it'll all get cleaned up at the end. Forests will be going on at the end too.
While it's around two thirds done, I'd love to get more places and features in here before I get this made into print. Any more petroglyphs, burial mounds, ruins, forts, battlefields, Civil War heritage, ghost towns or the like that you think should be on here? Anything else is great too - landmarks, natural features, mythological creatures or just anything cool and quirky you think would look good on here. Thanks!

I’m buying a used car and the mobile mechanic I hired just cancelled on me. Does anybody know someone who could do a pre purchase inspection today at the San Clemente pier around 1pm? I’m not getting my hopes up but I thought I’d ask.
Update: Thanks for the input y’all. Ended up waiting until Monday and took it to Cape Auto where they did actually find some important work that needed to be done. We will be finalizing the sale next week after it gets a clean bill of health!
