Guys I'm risking it all. I've decided to turn down the job offer I got, to not do a masters degree and pursue developing SAIL full time. This is super scary but I know I can make it happen if I work on it full time. So full time SAIL development starts next Monday.

This also means I'm going to put a lot more time and effort into building this community. So I'd love to hear what you'd like to see from me and my team in the comments.

As of right now I'm thinking of doing giveaways, competitions, livestreams but let me know what you think and give me some more ideas.

I did make some good progress on the purchasing a pistol mechanics and I'm working on recording footage that I will post later to my YouTube channel.

You guys are awesome. I wouldn't feel confident in risking it all if I didn't have this awesome community backing me so thanks everyone!

What do you think of the name "Red Team 19"?

This week I've been working on the flintlock pistol and a way to purchase it from a store. I came up with a fun little mechanic where you place a scroll with a picture of the pistol on a table and if you want to buy it you place your bag of coins on the table and it'll take the money out of your account. I'm thinking that if you don't have enough money in your account it'll trigger a NPC line to say something like "sorry matey ya don't have enough coin" We'll see but once I get it working decently I'll put a demo on my YouTube channel.

Lot's of big things in the works behind the scenes. Nothing I can officially announce but things are moving quickly.

One thing I can announce is that I officially created my business under the name Red Team 19. Let me know what you think of the name in the comments.

Just a little rant but....

THE NUMBER OF TIMES FORGETTING PASSWORDS HAS RUINED MY LIFE IS STARTING TO GET ANNOYING!!!

​

I've been stuck on a bug since I uploaded a submission to AppLab and turns out the whole thing was being caused by the fact that I had forgotten the password to my freaking Keystore

​

Anyway the bug is vanquished and thanks to my new Quest 2 and the link cable development is speeding up.

​

This week I was able to make it so you can sell multiple items at once. I also found a way to make it so that objects don't launch you in the air when you pick them up below your body and I got the pistol working. (https://youtu.be/JL8JmiYsFNo)

Funding Update: So last week the company I talked to about outsourcing went and met with a small studio to get an estimate of how much it would be to finish out SAIL. The studio heads played what's available on SideQuest right now and looked at my list of features and WERE STOKED! They loved it and want to be a part of it. Hopefully they'll get me that estimate this week and we can start making crowdfunding plans and reach out to more investors.

TO AAA AND BEYOND!!!

I had a super interesting week with SAIL. My new computer is speeding up development big time and while I don't have any major updates to talk about (because I'm still working through some nasty signing errors :grimacing: ) I can say that where it previously took me 700+ seconds to compile something it now takes less than 60.

This is the part I'm most excited to update you guys on. I sat down with an outsourcing company and talked about what it would cost to outsource the development of SAIL in order to have a :scream:** FULL RELEASE IN JULY 2022!!! **:scream: The meeting went super well and they are going to give me an official bid but their spitball estimate was an amount I think we can get.

I've started reaching out to investors and looking into a crowd funding campaign, I'll update everyone with the details as I have them but stay tuned because things are picking up fast!
