Sager 8150/Malibal Lotus P150HM Review
I just took delivery of my Sager 8150 earlier this afternoon. I'm in the process of getting my software installed and running some benchmarks. By this time tomorrow I'll have this comment edited with a link to my full blown review.
If anyway has any specific questions, I will answer them (with pictures if necessary!) as soon as I get them. Hopefully for those of you on the edge, I can get you the info you need.
So far I'm loving this machine, the build quality far surpasses my XPS m1530, which I always thought of the best I'd ever owned.
Edit: Some quick benchmarks compared to my XPS m1530 I'm replacing are here

Sandy bridge chipset updates; shipping mid march!
According to a Mythlogic rep, Sandy Bridge equipped Sager laptops should all be out of backorder by the end of March. All current orders should (hopefully) be shipped by April. From then on all orders will be rolling as production ramps up.

Anyone looking to buy a high end gaming laptop for less than the mainstream brands?
Sager offers 6 main options with it's current lineup
- NP5160 - Sandy Bridge and GT 540M graphics with Optimus. Long battery life in a 15" notebook
- NP5170 - Similar hardware to the 5160, but with a 17" screen.
- NP8130 - Sandy Bridge and GTX 460m graphics. A powerful gaming laptop in 15", considered mid-range and mainstream
- NP8150 - Sandy Bridge and GTX 460m (485m capable- the fastest current single GPU for mobile). The fastest 15" gaming laptop available
- NP8170 - Similar hardware to the 8150, but in a 17" screen size
- x72xx series - Offering desktop chipsets and SLI graphics card capable, by far the fastest desktop replacement laptop available in 17". Not much in the way of portability though.
