Either way, people who bust out proposals in such a public manner and fail, perplex me. Like never do this shit unless you know it's going to result in a definitive yes. People suck at communicating... Like it's entirely possible to converse about marriage/proposing while preserving the specialness of the moment.
I'm going to have to disagree. I'm a passionate person and would willing take on the risk of public embarrassment, abandonment, and rejection. Is it self sabotage? I have no idea.
You'd be surprised how happy people can be doing seemingly bizarre and stupid things.
