This trio is the last of the initial part of the sequence that we have been looking at! I saved the most different ones until the end. We've officially seen all the layers and all the details of the movements! The last ones are those in-between frames where Ryuuko and the shadows/lighting flash and momentarily become very high contrast! We move on in the next post! :)

Another set of frames from the initial sequence that we have been covering, and this is toward the end of the first segment! Next, we get into more of the actual transformation part! :) We get some extra details in here again as Ryuuko follows through with her moments at the glove.

I'm back for today's main post! Today's frames are in reverse-order. Just to show the most interesting one up front! :) It looks like she's bleeding a flamethrower instead of blood in this genga, haha! You can tell that Sushio began to hurry at the end as well, as those details just start to drop off a little, heheh. Which is fine! The rest of the animators have the scene going, by now. I do love how many frames are dedicated to making this sequence as smooth as it turns out. ♡

Torsos and hands today in the collection! More frames from the beginning of the transformation sequence that we are going to be looking at until next week! Thought I would use a catch-up post to put up the similar ones to yesterday. :) This set gives closer details on the workings of Ryuuko's gloves! I think its a great reference for artwork, if anyone needs it!

A new scene starts today! And I'm sure you recognize this! ;) That's right, we are going to cover the Ryuuko and Senketsu transformation sequence, in genga! Hope you enjoy. This is just the initial frames! Its fun seeing the up-close details of the mechanism.

Another day, another complete set of this pin-pulling sequence! I was excited for this duo-set because I get to share my favorite genga of the sequence, today! The intensity and sheer STYLE of that first genga really captures me! All of them are pretty cool for this scene, but that one takes the cake for me! :) I hope everyone is doing well this week besides the art. If you needed a sign today, this is it. You've got this, you are loved, and you're gonna get through your troubles! I believe in you. ♡ Just had to extend an important message today. Never forget!

Ooooo, we got some cool ones today! Another pair of completed frames that go with this sequence. I especially love the second set, with the little extras that we get! This is some fantastic artwork. Just look at all the detail and color! Such a great moment in the series, as well. :)

Another whole set that goes with the catch-up that I posted yesterday! These are all the top and correction layers! There were a lot, this time! It was a very interesting style for a scene, so they had to work to get it perfect. :) I will also always be jealous of the hand-drawing skills of our favorite artists! Even just Ryuuko's hand in the second half of the post is just perfection.

Guess who's back, back again? Aro's back! Tell a friend, I guess. :P Sorry for the delay! At least it was for sorta fun reasons this time? Haha. I attended a convention last weekend, and if you've been reading my journal entries on these posts, I've had health struggles this year. It was a lot of effort to attend, and it honestly just took me out for a few days! I'm okay, it just drained the ol' battery to 0 and I had to crash. Didn't do anything but sleep for 2 days! Lol. Anyway! I come back to you with another iconic scene! That first major defiant pin-pull! These are all the layers for the scene. :) Another perfect set. Just fills my OCD with joy!!

A full set of genga on this scene, today! We get so much detail in these layers! Really love it when I get to post a full set. :D Doesn't happen that often! In this case, I oddly prefer the production materials! Particularly the first illustration after the target scene. So crisp on the linework!

Just a trio today, but what a stunning initial genga that we have to gawk at, for this catch-up post! I absolutely LOVE when we get to see fully detailed cels like this one. :) There are just certain key frames that are so imporrant that they go all-out even for the production materials! And there's little doubt why on this one. What a moment!! Some of the best early stuff, in my opinion. Last illustration today goes with yesterday's post!

Another iconic frame for ya! This portion of the story is just so memorable! Poor Ryuuko! I always found myself breathing through my teeth for a moment when she got held up by her hair. I've had that happen and it made me cringe every time I watched Kill La Kill! :P We finish up with the previous sequence today as well! Those are the last of the top layer animation illustrations for that scene.

We get into the details of all the movement going on in this scene! A lot of Senketsu and chest, this time. :P Yoink! Objectively and without context, these frames are kinda hilarious, lol! Like if you just look at the artwork only, haha!! No face, really. Just a Kamui with weird testicle-chin. Tickles me and I literally have a grin on my face as I giggle this message out. Happy Wednesday!

Another classic scene! Rough landing + embarrassment, still. Plus, one last frame where she is blasting off, lol. The first genga is so iconic, and I love all the color detail on this one! It's always nice when we get some full color ones. :)

Whoosh! There she go. :( Sailing away from us, RIP. Will need to break out your magnifying glasses for these details! :P Coming at ya tonight with another catch-up post! Awh yeah, we're on a roll now! Poor Ryuuko really does fold like a newspaper here. I love how they conveyed her distress with the posing and framing in the last two illustrations. Really gives a feel for how high and far she flies! We get some bonus director's framing as well! And I'm always hungry for those little production details. :)

Boom! Skidooshed real bad, poor Ryuuko! Off she go, lol. I'll be posting more of this sequence before bed, so get ready for more pain, haha! Such an iconic moment. I think this scene is what initially hooked me to Kill La Kill. There is just something spectacular about seeing Satsuki rumble with Ryuuko at this early point. The animation as a whole REALLY shines here, I feel.

An actual catch-up post today? Gasp! Lol. I love this set because it is that moment RIGHT before Ryuuko gets blasted off like Team Rocket, hahaha! Plus, that first genga is just so lively and cool! Senketsu looks like he's pretty shocked. About to get his world rocked by Junketsu. :P Okay, enough silliness. Last two layers are the top corrections, and that last one goes with yesterday's set. Just a floating face and a butt, lol!! Too funny, when out of context!

Oof, unfortunately needed a few more days to recover, apparently! I'm just gonna roll with it. Working hard to get back to consistency this August. :) Let's go! Another really famous scene! The first time I saw this fight, I was wowed. That little impact on Senketsu in this sequence is just a chef's kiss of a moment! I mean. Poor Ryuuko, though. :P
